Everyone has a choice...thank you for choosing us. It was very rewarding to receive pictures of Linus Clark and Clay O’Brien Cooper winning the 4th Annual Sweetest Loop Pro-Am Roping in 2009. Linus is riding an 8-yr-old son of Blue Hancock Cowboy out of a Leo bred mare. Linus trained this horse himself and Clay was impressed with the horse’s consistency. He commented on the excellent handles knowing all he had to do was come around the corner and do his job. Congratulations to both Clay and Linus and their good horses.
Danny Schicke has won a lot of team roping on this big blue horse and we have more like him this year.

If you like this color of blue and this level of quality horses - you're gonna love what we have coming to the sale this year. Sorry, these 3 now speak French & are being shown in Europe.
Dick and Lee Thomas from Idaho winning a good roping at Simpson Ranch in Wickenburg, Ariz last winter. Dick gets lots of compliments on his heel horse. Dick didn't do anything different with training this outstanding horse, he just started with one like you can buy at the Come To The Source sale.
Dick and his grandsons, Jackson and Carson.

The ultimate reward for me is when a youngster like little Wylee Cheney takes one of my horses and goes on to win (above). She won this saddle with one of Vista Grande's versatile horses. Now she also has a son of Lil Rudy Can Go that she has trained pretty much by herself and is going to run barrels on.
This is Bay Roan Dividend who I have chosen to replace Blues Roan Hancock (Randy). He is by Blues Roan Hancock and out of a double bred Dividend Coup mare. If my wife has her way I will cut down the number of mares I run and he will be a replacement for Jimmy, my good rope horse. Although I do not plan to sell him....I have found myself pricing him recently. I've always liked to put a little speed in our horses, but really wasn't thinking about barrel horses. I've been excited to see how well Laramie's own Stacey Smallwood has done with her son of Blues Roan Hancock, who is a grandson of Blue Valentine who goes back to Jet Deck. Stacey qualified "Right Flashy" to go to the BBR World finals in Oklahoma City this year in April where she placed 39th out of 1800 head of barrel horses! Congratulations Stacey and thank you for being such a good example of what horses from Vista Grande Ranch can achieve.
