Letter from Kim Andersen | March 2022

A new year brings new challenges and opportunities!

Kim Andersen EVP, Int’l

Operations are getting back to normal after several years of disruption. We have enjoyed a strong start in ANZ, France, and Germany.

Dear All,

In International we were entering our new business year with a spike in CV-19 “Omicron” variant, knowing that after such spike we would most likely enjoy fewer COVID restrictions in Q2, where business interactions and social life would be get back to normal. During February we were able to enjoy kickoff events. While we held some of these over Microsoft Teams, our team in the United Kingdom met in-person for the first time in two years. What a difference that makes! And then... Russia chose to invade Ukraine!

I’m shocked and deeply saddened by the events we have seen unfolding in Ukraine over the last few weeks. I’m a strong believer in freedom for everyone everywhere, and my thoughts and prayers go out to all Ukrainians. I wanted to let you know that we don’t have any direct operations in Russia, Ukraine or surrounding countries. These countries are all served via our Partner Channel.

As such, our European Operations are all running with their normal activities and run-rates, and we are moving forward with our plans currently embedded in AOP 2022. For the ANZ Team “Down Under,” the team is busy installing Bluecrest Technology at 5 different customers over the coming weeks, bringing a solid head start to Jason and Team for 2022. In Japan, Hiroshi has entered into a partnership with B+H in relation to their new swing-arm unit call Forerunner. In Japan we still have more than +250 units of swing-arm technology in the field, and with the significance of Japanese paper quality, leaflets and envelope closing, there is still a high demand for this technology. We are launching the B+H/BC Forerunner in a kick-off during the month of May, with hopefully 4-5 orders already in place for 2022.

I hope that you all will enjoy Easter Time, spring season, and let us all hope that resolution will soon come to the conflict between Russia and Ukraine. Kind regardsBlank Pdf

UK District working towards ISO9001 /14001/45001

by Guido Rietti

DMT UK has made the decision to achieve industry standards in our management systems (ISO).

The standards we are going to target are 9001 (Quality), 14001 (Environmental), 45001 (Health and Safety).

This will be a district wide effort and will NOT be achieved by just one group working in isolation. It will require all employees to support the task, and in doing so reinforce our ICARE behaviors.

We are already doing everything required on a daily basis, but what the preliminary work has evidenced is that we are not always documenting and organizing sufficiently for the certification to be obtained.

The outcome of these accreditations will be a more open and transparent approach to what we do and how we do it. There will be targeted training, Goals and objectives will be aligned with the standards, and audits to ensure we do what we say we do. This will be a complex but exciting journey, and will facilitate participation in key RFP processes where the above mentioned certifications are increasingly a mandatory requirement to be considered as a vendor.

The UK ISO project team, lead by Cameron Candlish, is working closely with Steve Varga’s team in order to benefit from the learnings which enabled Danbury to recently achieve their ISO certification, so in true BlueCrest spirit, we are leveraging the knowledge within the organization to make us better and stronger as a global team.

Target date for achieving the certification is Q3. The gap analysis to identify what is required to achieve certification, initial corrective actions are already underway and initial audits have already been completed and documented as part of the road map to certification.
