Celebrating 20th Anniversary of working in the EB-5 industry

MB Regional Centers is celebrating its 20th Anniversary of working in the EB-5 industry. Mr. Patrick F. Hogan, CMB’s CEO and founder, has been involved in EB-5 even longer (since 1994), which coincides with the establishment of the first regional centers under the Regional Center Pilot Program. CMB Export, LLC (a regional center with designation in California and Nye County, NV) was CMB’s first regional center and was originally approved in 1997 by the Immigration and Naturalization Service, the regulatory agency overseeing EB-5 at the time. Since 1997, CMB has grown to operate 11 regional centers, which allows us to undertake projects within 16 states as well as Washington D.C. CMB, for our 20th Anniversary celebration, invited the limited partners from our first seven EB-5 partnerships to celebrate at the Bellagio Resort and Casino in Las Vegas, NV. CMB wanted to celebrate with the limited partners from the seven EB-5 partnerships that have achieved their immigration goals of permanent residency in the United States and have received repayment of capital. These first seven CMB partnerships represent 294 EB-5 investors and their families who trusted CMB with their hopes and dreams of permanent residency in the United States. CMB invited all 294 EB-5 investors to Las Vegas for its 20th Anniversary celebration of the limited partner’s success in completing the full circle of the EB-5 process, which represents both immigration success and return of capital. CMB also invited representatives of the borrowers from these first seven partnerships, as they are an important part of the overall success. At the celebration, it did not take long for everyone to start thanking each other for the successes of these first seven partnerships. The developers/borrowers thanked the limited partners and CMB for the opportunity to utilize EB-5 funding, which advanced the redevelopment goals of the former military bases and created jobs in devastated communities. when the EB-5 immigration category was not well known. The EB-5 limited partners thanked the developers for both the redevelopment work and the jobs that were created at the project sites. They also thanked CMB Regional Centers for the great investment that performed as described and allowed them the ability to achieve their ultimate goal of a “permanent green card” and repayment of their capital contribution to the partnership. Today, CMB Regional Centers has grown to over 5,000 individuals that have invested with and placed their trust in CMB. The three milestones for every EB-5 investor to complete the circle in the EB-5 process are, the approval of the I-526 petition (which allows the EB-5 investor to apply for their conditional visa), the I-829 petition approval (which gives the EB-5 investor a permanent green card) and lastly the return of their initial capital contribution into the partnership (EB-5 investment). CMB and its EB-5 investors have achieved historic milestones. CMB has helped over 4,100 individuals and their families achieve an I-526 petition approval, over 660 individuals and their families achieve an I-829 approval and our first seven EB-5 partnerships have returned capital to their limited partners. These milestones did not come easily. CMB has been recognized as a pioneer in the EB-5 industry for many years and CMB continues to put new and better practices in place to help each of our EB-5 investors achieve success in their EB-5 goals. The way we continue to grow off our successful track record is to keep the same guiding principle: “If we take care of our clients everything else will fall into place and everyone will succeed. Our clients are the most important part of everything we do.” In an industry today that is plagued with fraud, it is important for every prospective EB-5 investor to do their proper due diligence. It is important to not just ask questions, but also make the regional center prove their answers and proving it. CMB
