MULTITALENTED DAWNAE LUNDQUIST Dawnae Lundquist, 18 years old, is a college student in Cheyenne Wyoming. Her whole life has revolved around the outdoors or in nursing homes and hospitals, learning everything she can. She also took an extreme interest in abstract and contrast art at a very young age. In 2013 she was nominated for Miss Teen of Wyoming, and the Best Author award. She was re-nominated twice for the pageant, but chose not to compete after her first run. Majority of her junior high school career was spent in medical classes and art rooms. she was constantly designing and creating new pieces. She found her art style after recalling the dark and obscure 'life' she experienced during an epileptic seizure. She started using watercolor, sharpies, colored pencils and black ink to create this 'life'. Her art style later inspired a new concentration which focused on people's emotions displayed through colors. In high school, she got to hang her art in the hallway right where her favorite teacher's room was after she passed away. It wasn't until her senior year that people really started taking a liking to her style, and began asking her questions and watching her illustrate a new world around them. Her award winning art has always played a huge part in how she tell her story as well... When she wasn't making art or studying human anatomy, she was filming and acting with her media partners. They made many films; three of which brought them to CYSFF, where she was nominated for Best Actress. Their films were nominated for many other awards as well. Now that she has graduated, she has decided to keep her focus on mainly medical science in college. She still make art on the side, and sell her pieces occasionally. “I look forward to showing the world my pieces.� 46 BLOUDER
