whyrepent?
whatisrepentance?
Repentance is more than just feeling sorry for our wrongs; it’s a profound and transformative process that involves a complete change of heart and mind. True repentance goes beyond mere regret or guilt over past actions. It is a heartfelt turning away from sin —a conscious decision to abandon behaviors, thoughts, and attitudes that are contrary to God’s will. At the core of repentance is the recognition of our own brokenness and the realization that we have fallen short of God’s perfect standard. It involves acknowledging that our sins have not only harmed ourselves and others but have also separated us from a holy and loving God. This awareness leads to a deep, internal conviction and a sincere desire to seek God’s forgiveness.
But repentance is not just about turning away from something; it’s also about turning toward something— or rather, someone. When we repent, we are not simply rejecting sin; we are actively turning toward God, seeking to draw closer to Him. This turning involves placing our faith in Jesus Christ, who made a way for us to be reconciled with God through His sacrifice on the cross.
Repentance is a decision to change our ways, but it is also an ongoing journey. It’s about consistently choosing to live a life that pleases God, guided by His Word and empowered by His Spirit. This means striving to align our actions, thoughts, and desires with God’s will, embracing His commands, and allowing His love to transform us from the inside out.
BY VICTORIA-GRACE M.
in essence, repentance is both an initial step and a daily practice. It begins with a single, life-changing decision to turn away from sin and turn toward God, but it continues throughout our lives as we grow in our relationship with Him. It’s about continually seeking to live in a way that reflects God’s holiness and love, not out of fear of punishment, but out of gratitude for the grace and forgiveness we have received.
Repentance is a powerful act of surrender, where we lay down our own ways and desires, choosing instead to follow the path that God has laid out for us—a path that leads to true freedom, peace, and everlasting life in Him.

where there is LIGHT, there can not be darkness
We all have fallen short of God’s standards (Romans 3:23), and the consequence of sin is separation from God (Romans 6:23). But God, in His great love, offers us a way back to Him through Jesus Christ

Repentance begins with acknowledging that we have sinned and fallen short of God's glory (Romans 3:23). It involves believing that Jesus died for our sins and rose again, offering us new life through His sacrifice (Romans 10:9). True repentance means confessing our sins to God, turning away from them, and choosing to live according to His will (Acts 3:19). By doing so, we receive God’s grace, embracing the forgiveness and new life that only Jesus can offer.

2 - BELIEVE IN JESUS

3 - CONFESS & TURN AWAY

4 - RECEIVE GOD’S GRACE
Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation. The old has passed away; behold, the new has come."
