Thuy &

Clint Editorial Engagement Shoot By Photographer :

Dennis Dizon Studio Dizon

Dennis ,the photographer says, “Well the bride wanted a conventional

engagement shoot. Both clients are fans of great fashion. Though hopelessly in love, this couple wanted to highlight the sexier, more fashionable side of their story. These dresses came from an NYC sample sale. So all of the dresses are top notch NYC designers. We chose the venues to compliment the dresses. Some shots were reminiscent of a magazine editorial some ring more like a Banana Republic Ad Campaign. In a nutshell, this shoot conveys a heighten sense of love with a raw sexy edge!

Vendor Spotlight Harvey’s Donuts

Tell us about your company ? Harvey's Gourmet Donuts is a family owned and operated mobile do-

nut making company. Using a vintage donut machine our classic donuts are made on the spot, in front of your guests and hand decorated by our on site culinary staff. We offer a unique way to toast to your Wedding, impress at your Mitzvah or Birthday, or encourage a commingling at a Corporate Event or Holiday Party.. And Yes, there really is a Harvey! Al-

ways in his top hat Harvey is always hard at work entertaining at an event and even answering the phone. Harvey's Donuts is in a true sense of the word a family business.

How did you get into your profession and how long have you been in business ? Harvey and Georgia have been in business together for over 30 years, if you ask Harvey, Harvey's Donuts is Plan M. Before they started their donut endeavors they had been working together side by side selling 100 year old antique art at reputed art & wine festivals all over the bay area. Such longevity gave them a true knowledge and understanding in the mobile/street fair business circuit. When their rare collection came to an end they knew they were not ready to retire. Over the years they noticed when artists were not doing as productive in sales the food ven-

dors still were. Harvey likes to be the first or one of few offering a unique product, and now service, to communities around the bay area. When Harvey and Georgia teamed up with their two daughters they put their heads together to see what new business adventures they could devise. After a few trial and errors, Harvey's knack for being in the right place at the right time once again rewarded him, as he remembered seeing an old machine like in the book he read in school named Homer Price. After traveling to see said machine and almost not finding it, he was

able to track it down and so the process of Harvey's Donuts started in the backyard of their Glen Ellen home about 6 years ago.

What upcoming trends are you looking forward to ? Some upcoming trends that we are looking forward to are Crafted Cocktail and Food

Pairings , the craze for crafted cocktails is hitting hard, the concept is strange and intriguing, it will be interesting to see where it goes. Mini Desserts are Trending on Pinterest and it seems we are just scratching the surface on alternate wedding cake options. What is your philosophy ? At Harvey’s Gourmet Mini Donuts, we believe that everyone has a donut memory to relive. We created this business to celebrate life's special occasions.

We want our guests and our families and our local communities to be able to rely on us and to know that we are willing to go above and beyond the average level of service to create an emotional impact at your special event

What is your dream project ?

Our dream project is your dream project. Since we are only a piece to a puzzle we give pride and respect to each job no matter how large or small. We know people have been working for months or even years to accomplish a common goal and we want to be the least of your worries and be the best part of your event. Where does your inspiration come from ? Our inspiration comes from family. Harvey and Georgia have been married for over 40 years, they have always been hands on and involved in their daughters lives, the life of the community around them and the people who live in them. Both Harvey

and Georgia are passionate, dedicated people who enjoy having a story to tell and working hard to achieve that. After talking with Harvey or any member of his family you instantly feel connected, that important connection is how you should feel when you're asking a company to uphold a responsibility for a impeccable outcome to your festivity. When you have Harvey's Donuts at your event, your family becomes their inspiration. What sets your business apart from others ? Harvey's Donuts is an action station, meaning our set up is complete with fully operational vintage donut machine for guests to watch their donuts cooked hot on the spot. The culinary staff is always present to answer questions about any of our process making the interaction between staff and guests an unexpected source of entertainment. Individually hand decorated, even as per request of each guest hot mini donuts made on site sets out business apart from any other.

Vendor Spotlight Bloomsday Floral Design Tell us about your company ? Bloomsday Floral Design specializes in all floral needs from bridal, prom and birthday parties to everyday ar-

rangements for loved ones. We hand pick the freshest and most beautiful flowers, branches and seasonal leaves to create remarkable arrangements. With our commitment to customer care and service we pride ourselves in taking the stress out of event planning. How did you get into your profession and how long have you been in business ? A good friend of ours got married in October 2014 and we were requested to make the boutonnières and corsages for the groomsmen and the families of the bride and groom. We loved the process of arranging so much and our friend was so happy. We wanted to continue to have that much fun working and see smiles just like hers in the future. Since then we've been perfecting our craft and really gaining a huge respect for flowers.

What upcoming trends are you looking forward to ? The bohemian sheik look is amazingly beautiful. Succulents and burlap set our hearts on fire so we're really looking forward to that.

What is your philosophy ? Hand picking the colors of love and arranging them especially for you.

What is your dream project ? We're just starting out so our dream project is actually pretty simple. Our dream project would have to be a wedding at The Cathedral of Christ the Light in Oakland. With the high ceilings and long center aisle it would be a dream to decorate the sanctuary with our florals. The event center is divine and a floral wall filled with Cala lilies and orchids would be so lovely right behind a sweetheart's table at the head of the room.

people when they are relaxed and connecting with their loved ones. My goal as a photographer is to learn what my clients are passionate about,

take interest in their personal story, and deliver beautiful images that will serve as a lifetime of memories. What is your dream project ? I dream of one day photographing a winter wedding on a snow covered hill top in Lake Tahoe, CA.

offers options to customize the Sweet Puff cart, flavors, cotton candy cones, and select dĂŠcor to fit the theme of your Wedding, Corporate Event, or Private Party.

How did you get into your profession and how long have you been in business ?

Sweet Puff Candy has been in the works since October of 2014 and launched in January of 2015. It amazes me to see how quickly the word spread and am so grateful for the love and support!

Where does your inspiration come from ? I really wanted cotton candy at my own wedding, and there was nothing like this in the Bay Area! I bought a cotton candy machine from Walmart and played around with some flavors and decided it was a MUST to share with the world!

What sets your business apart from others ? Cotton Candy is everyone's favorite childhood treat! I think it's a fun and interactive way to entertain your guests with some freshly spun cotton candy and why not add a twist by making different flavors! Although I do make the regular classic flavors, but my favorite has to be the cookies & cream and peach! What upcoming trends are you looking forward to ? There are so many many talented artists out there and the things they are

doing at weddings now are just amazing! I love seeing vendors collaborate and working together to make an event look magical! What is your philosophy ? Be Kind and Be YOU. Stay Sweet and Stay Humble. What is your dream project ? My wish list is quite long at the moment! :) but I must say spinning cotton candy at an SF Giants or SJ Sharks event sounds like a blast!!
