Creating a “Buzz” in the kitchen is Aston Restaurant and Bar head chef Rayella (Buzz) Milne. New to the team, Rayella brings fresh ideas, passion and enthusiasm to the kitchen with her fresh and innovative approach to home-style cooking. “What I love most about working here is the warm and inviting environment and I plan to compliment that with my wholesome, home-style meals,” she says. With 16-years industry experience, she has created a mouth-watering menu using locally sourced and fresh produce. “This includes fresh fish, meat, vegetables and fruit – all sourced within Marlborough,” she says. Within the restaurant, between 24 and 30 people can be seated, which can include private bookings. Menu specials change daily to provide diners with a range of options to choose from and can be checked out on the Aston Restaurant and Bar Facebook page.

Compliment your meal with one of Aston Restaurant and Bar’s tap beers and house wines. Bar options include a selection of natural beers brewed in Nelson Bays. Bays Brewery uses traditional, natural brewing methods with no sugar, chemicals or preservatives, producing internationally award

winning (natural) beers. Feel like something hot? Try a Tuatara Coffee, an organic fair traded coffee hand-roasted in Golden Bay. Not only will you be enjoying a quality hand-crafted coffee, but you will be helping to support Tuatara conservation through donations from coffee sales.

New owners showcase passion for hospitality Located beside the Aston Court Motel, the restaurant/bar has been a welcome addition for motel owners Noel and Trish Noble, who took over the business on February 28. The couple is thrilled with the purchase and say the business provides great benefits to both motel users and the public. “We are really excited about the purchase and feel that it offers a great place for locals to relax, unwind and sample delicious, homestyle cooked meals,” Trish says. “In addition we have our daughter Jaimee here to manage the bar. Being a family run business really adds to the homely and welcoming atmosphere,” Noel says. The restaurant has been busy Aston Restaurant owners Noel & Trish Noble with daughter Jaimee.
