Senior Living

enjoy your retirement

Wonderful views over the Picton Marina As the name might suggest, Marina Cove Retirement Village has great views right over the Picton marina. And being a village in a smaller town, one of the big pluses of life at Marina Cove is its affordability. The weekly service fee is $88.83 which compares favourably to what you might expect to pay elsewhere. This weekly fee covers such items as cleaning of communal areas, grounds maintenance and gardening, insurance, power (in communal areas), rates and repairs & maintenance (regular wear and tear). Furthermore, Marina Cove’s apartments - which are available from $215, 000 are typically $ 25 - $ 30,000 less than what you would expect to pay to occupy equivalent apartments in larger centres. These self-contained, 2-bedroom apartments are warm and comfortable and each one has a 24-hour emergency call phone serviced by Marina Cove staff. Residents make good use of the village’s

community centre which includes a gym, library, and craft, games and activity room. The people who live here enjoy all sorts of social functions, including day trips in the village van. One of the regular daily highlights is the opportunity residents have to sit down together and - for an additional fee - enjoy a home cooked meal from the village kitchen. In short, there is a great community spirit. Staff are always one of the most important things about any retirement village and as well as training relevant to their specific role, Marina Cove staff receive health & safety and first aid training. Great views and affordable fees, for more information please contact Dale Matthews, Village Executive, on 027 6212 349 or dale.matthews@oceanialiving.co.nz Marina Cove is part of the Oceania Group, a Retirement Villages Association member.

Two Marlborough Locations, Villages’ Operator A Retirement Village’s Association Member

Redwood in Blenheim is a retirement village with independent living as well as rest home and hospital level care. With large grounds, there is plenty of space and - in surveys and questionnaires - one of the things residents have praised most are the people who work at Redwood. Marina Cove has wonderful views over the Picton Marina, a great community spirit and is (very) competitively priced. The operator of both, Oceania Group, is a Retirement Villages Association (RVA) member. RVA members follow strict standards and guidelines in terms of the service they offer.
