WK top Xero firm in top of the South By Cathie Bell Xero has announced Blenheim firm WK as the Tasman winner for Accounting Partner of the Year. Regional winners were announced during the Xero New Zealand Winter Roadshow, where more than 2,000 New Zealanders attended the events across 17 locations nationwide including Tasman. The awards celebrate the success of Xero’s high achieving partners all around the country with WK demonstrating a high level of dedication, commitment and support to achieve outstanding results for their clients. WK’s Neil Sinclair says the firm has been using Xero for five years now, and it enables them to spend more time with clients on important business-building work rather than more basic compliance work. He says to be selected is hugely rewarding and pretty exciting. “We’re stoked. For the team, it’s a massive achievement. It’s a massive credit to what they’re achieved.” WK will be flown to Brisbane for Xerocon South 2016 this week, where the national Accounting Partner of the Year

WK’s Neil Sinclair with Xero’s managing director NZ Anna Curzon, left, and South Island Xero Account Manager Raewyn McConnell, with the rest of his team.

and Bookkeeping Partner of the Year will be announced at a Gala Awards Dinner, but Neil says the regional award is a great achievement in itself. “The fact we’ve picked it up for this region is good enough, the uptake in the region is really high and we know there are some really good firms in the region, so to take it out, it’s great for our team. They’re doing really good things.” Xero says the winning partners were recognised for achieving great results for their customers in Tasman. These awards

are focused on acknowledging accountants and bookkeepers who support their customers to grow, whether that’s through assisting with business development through to reducing nonproductive administration time and anything in between. The Accounting Partner of the Year recognises partners who offered the best value-added service to their clients, demonstrating the benefits using Xero and using the appropriate tools for clients. Anna Curzon, Managing Director at Xero New Zealand, says the awards are one way to recognise

the outstanding achievements by partners who offer the best service and value to clients. “We are amazed by the level of dedication, commitment and support we see from our partners and these awards help us celebrate the outstanding results achieved in the past year. “The Winter Roadshow is a time for us and our partners to connect, be inspired by guest speakers and learn at workshops. There’s no better place to acknowledge those who are accomplishing stellar results.”
