SPCA opens boarding kennels Story and photo by Celeste Alexander There is more fun and barking to be had now at the SPCA Marlborough centre since its boarding kennels facility reopened last month. Centre manager Kaycee Polkinghorne says the boarding kennels were closed when she came into the organisation and it’s been a ‘lengthy project’ getting them back up and running. Organiser Chris Budny says it is the first time the annual van nationals have been held in Blenheim. There will be vehicles from all over New Zealand to be inspected, there will be all sorts – Bedford, Dodges, Panel vans and United States vans. There will also be visitors from Australia, he says.
