Marlborough dry lands farmer Doug Avery, a passionate advocate for family farming is to co-host a number of events during 2014, to support Rural Women NZ’s projects during the International Year of Family Farming. He will give an inspirational talk on the transformation of his drought-stricken farm into a sustainable venture through visionary changes to his farming system. His talk will feature at the Rural Women NZ series of road shows nationwide, including one at Rai Valley on April 7.

The Chamber Philharmonia Cologne will be presenting one of their popular annual concerts at the Church of the Nativity in Blenheim on Wednesday February 19 at 8pm.
