Whosoever speaks is capable of going through the process of healing. I know it’s hard to imagine healing when there are so many things that have tried to destroy you, but it is possible. Trusting God seems unfathomable because of the destructive relationships that we have had. The reality though is that God is greater than humans and when we accept that reality we realize that human missteps are not God’s shortcomings. According to Psalm 118:8, “ It is better to trust in the Lord than to put confidence in man.” A human being’s agenda should never be the barrier from a relationship with the One who offers us peace, love, and understanding.

Your voice is not meant to be silenced, so take your voice back. Use it to pray. Use it to seek God. Use it to heal. God wants you to heal, so allow Him to hear your pain. Those who have hurt you inside of the church walls may be ignorant of the pain they have caused, but even if they are not, you don’t stop living. Those who have hurt you inside of the church walls are off living their lives and you are stuck in a place of pain and brokenness. This is not what God intends for you, so release yourself from it today.

Tell your story, sing your song, and shout with the voice of victory! This is your moment. Acknowledge the pain you have carried, but do not camp out in that pain. Church hurt has become such a message that we are no longer hearing God’s message. He has what you need, but a closed mouth is never fed. Take what He is offering. He has your peace, your joy, your victory, and your healing. WHOSOEVER needs His touch must speak their truth, not out of complaint or self pity, but as a proclamation that now I give it all to God. Speak to Him because He is surely listening!
