[ presentation ] Hello, nice to meet you! My name is Blanca Ballesteros, actual student at Elisava University (Pompeu Fabra). Currently, I´m
studying two careers: Industrial Design and Industrial Design Ingeneering.
I consider myself fidget and an ambitious person. My love for
design carries me to keep learning in any environment around design: from graphic to product.
In this book I would like you to know me better as a designer
and hopefully, transmit you some of my passion for design. Hope you like it. Enjoy!
[ personal info ] I was born and rised in Sevilla, Spain. I attend to Europe In-
ternational School. At the age of 16 , I spent four months in Boulder, Colorado.
I´m 21 years old and I´m studying in Elisava, Barcelona. At summer, I work in Wonkandy; a candy factory, at the marketing department where I´m encharged of designing labels, catalogues and basically the image of the company.
Over the years, fashion has gradually become a trully passion
for me. Some of my big referents are Alexander Wang, Stella McCartney and Virgil Abloh.
When I set a goal, I focus and go for it. I don´t mind working as hard as its needed to get my target.

[ INVERSE ] FASHION MAGAZINE DECEMBER 2017 Inverse is a fashion magazine created in the graphic class. The design plays with the contrast of colors. The size of the text determines the reading hierarchy. As shown in the images, the red colour dominates over the others. About the content, we can find actual trends and celebrities, as well as a section about health and fitness.

[ STOOP ] CINEMA MARCH 2018 In this project, we had to design the corporate image for an independet cinema called Stoop: from the tickets for the movie to the weekly billboard. The style used in this proyect is focused on the type of public in these places.

[ TEA FILTER ] TEA FILTER BLISTER MARCH 2018 In this project, we design a packaging for a tea filter. The design had to express well the way that the object is used. To do so, the main steps were represented by vector images. The absence of colors allows the product to highlight.

[ GAMBRINUS ] SOUVENIR GIFT MARCH 2018 The Royal Gambrinus Packaging is a trio of gourmet cans inspirated in the well known prawn in Barcelona called Gambrinus. The idea was to create a packaging which contained the three cans with three different types of typical gourmet food such as prawns with garlic or prawn foie to make this pack a sophisticated souvenir.

[ THE OTHER WAY ] STAND DESIGN JUNE 2018 The objective of this projetc is design a stand to introduce the expo The Other Way. The main idea is the difference between consciousness and unconsciousness. The products exposed create a path that reproduce the transit between the consciousness and unconsciousness. Those products are some of the objects that are presents in our daily life, which can cause serious problems if they are consumed frequently. About the shape of structure, as the real expo, the idea was to create the difference between two spaces: firstly, the unconsciousness represented with straight lines and spikes and secondly, as it progresses the structure, consciousness represented with a curve (both shapes represented in the stand and in the expo). All the structure of the stand is made of paperboard. There are three modules, which are united by a velcro. To highlight the objects, LEDs were placed on the contour of the spheres that contain them.

SOCIAL CRITICISM JUNE 2018 In order to control that consume, we create The Big Temptation, which is exposed in the stand. The product contains your big temptation that you can´t control inside of a glass dome. If you want to access the temptation, you have to brake the glass. As you break the glass, so does your self-control. The objects situated inside of the spheres iluminated with leds are some of the products that you can put inside of the glass (junk food, a cigarette, money, etc.).

[ THE THRONE ]
THE CHAIR MARCH 2018 “The Throne”, is a chair which has the peculiarity of being made from lace; there is no bolt or glue on it. Is composed by four different pieces: the seat, the backrest and the two lateral sides that form the structure. Every pieces are made of conglomerate wood with 1 cm thick. If all the pieces are joined, appears “The Throne”. In the middle of the backseat has been created a vertical line according to the form of the chair in order to make it appear more slender.

THE LAMP MARCH 2018 “The Cascade”, is a lamp made of a 1,2 mm white plakene sheet. One more time, this object has been made from tatting. Its shape allows the calid light to come out through three holes, which makes the effect of a cascade. Its form has been designed to transmit ambient light, to create a relaxed and comfortable space.

THE HANGER FEBRUARY 2018 This product is a hanger design with two material 100% reciclable: wood and polypropylene. Two unique materials easy to separate. Let ´s help the environment. The minimalist design, allows it to fit into many styles such as in elegant or vintage environments.
[ MEMOKIT ] SMART UTENSILS OCTOBER 2017 Memokit, as its name suggests, is a kitchenware made with smart materials. The black filaments that make up the two tools are a wire with shape memory, called nitinol. This allows that at the time of saving the utensils they can be deformed so that they occupy less space. [ ECOVATIVE ] ECOVATIVE MARCH 2016 This magazine was born from a project focused on research of an innovative company, in this case, the one chosen is Ecovative, which creates objects and packaging through fungi, being totally friendly with the environment. The main idea was to communicate all the research through a visually attractive magazine. It contains all the information, from the origin of the company to the production process and its applications. In the graphic design of this magazine our idea was to communicate in a quick and easy way the fundamentals and ideals of the company, as well as its work methodologies and production processes.

Al tener que utilizar 7 hojas por cada mango, se obliga al usuario a tirar a la basura cada hoja por separado, aumentando así la posibilidad de que se pueda reciclar. color El producto se vende en una gran variedad de colores, ya que el plástico PET presenta gran variedad de posibles pigmentos que no generan diferencias significativas en el impacto generado por el producto. FOLDING BLADE APRIL 2018 Slim is the result of the redesign of a conventional single-use blade. It is composed of two totally recyclable materials: PET and steel. Its pieces can be easily separated, which helps to recycle them unlike those existing in the market. From its colors, shape and ergonomics try to reach a large public.

[ THE CONSUMPTION ] THE CONSUMPTION IN SMALL STORES VS. MALLS APRIL 2017 This project is an investigation of everything that affects consumption. From the position of objects and stores in their respective spaces, to the graphics that are applied. It makes up all the factors that influence the time of consumption of a good by people. The research was made taking by reference two different spaces: a shopping center and a nearby neighborhood store.

[ CDETOX ] GRAPHENE RESEARCH AND APPLICATION APRIL 2018 This project deals with graphene. It is divided into two parts: the first, in which an in-depth investigation is carried out on the properties and characteristics of graphene to give it a functionality; and the second part, in which the function chosen is developed, creating a prototype of the product, in this case, a filter. This is how CDetox was created, a nanoparticles filter composed of graphene which gets into the drum of the washing machine so that the polluting particles released by the garments are retained by the filter effect of the graphene (nano-filter). Due to its complexity, this project was developed during eight months by a team composed of four people.
