HAND PROTECTION
• Latex gloves possess high dielectric characteristics making them perfect for use in many electrical applications, from low voltage (500V) to ultra high voltage (36000V) • Ergonomic design combined with a lightly powdered interior increases comfort by providing additional softness and allows glove to be put on and taken off easily • Length: 360mm • Suitable when coming into contact with high voltage electricity • Sizes: 9 – 11 EN Mechanical Hazard • Complies with IEC EN 60903:2003
Electrical gloves are given a class based on their voltage levels, ranging from Class 00 to Class 4, as the thickness of the glove increases, the higher the class becomes. Glove Inspections It is essential that electrical gloves are kept in perfect condition as any slight puncture in the glove could have fatal consequences. It is important that before each use, a visual inspection is carried out and punctures are checked via inflation test (roll test) of the glove. If a puncture or perforation is found, the glove is unusable. It is strongly recommended that Overgloves are worn with Latex Electrical gloves, to provide increased mechanical resistance. Alternatively, if dexterity is required, Honeywell’s Composite gloves are latex gloves with an outer layer of Polychloroprene, combining mechanical resistance and comfort, eliminating the need to wear Overgloves.
