JERSEY John John Rosswell Bryant Jersey, passed away on July 4, 2015 at the age of 92. Predeceased by his loving wife Lillian in 1999. Ross will be sadly missed by his nephews Greg Patch of Abbotsford and Robert Anderson and family of Golden, BC. Ross also has many nieces, nephews, cousins and a host of friends that will miss him dearly. There will be a memorial service held at Henderson Fraser Valley Funeral Home, 34537 Marshall Road, Abbotsford, BC at 2:00 pm on July 18th, 2015.

After a lengthy courageous battle with cancer, our beloved wife and mother went to be with the Lord on July 10, 2015 at the age of 77. She is survived by her husband Michael of 57 years, her daughters Debbie Gilmore (Gerry), Susan Smart, son Michael Weisbeck, 4 grandchildren, Gregg (Jodi), Brian (Amber), Ryan and Matthew, 4 great grandchildren, Kayla, Levi, Madison and lyla, and many relatives and friends. It was with heavy hearts that we said goodbye to Lyle William “Big Daddy” Taylor, 71, who passed away peacefully on May 29, 2015. He was surrounded with the love and strength of his family during his final days. He is survived by his loving wife of 52 years Sonya; his children Denise, Dennis and Rhonda and his adoring grandchildren, all of whom will cherish his memory. Lyle will be forever remembered for his incredible sense of humor, larger than life smile, kind heart and warm hugs. His presence will be missed by all who had the opportunity to spend time with him and love him. We are forever grateful that his angels were present to guide him into the heavens. A celebration of life for Lyle is being planned and will be announced at a later date. Thank you to everyone for your many prayers and to all who have helped the family through this extremely difficult time.

Rose Dyck, 81, passed away peacefully on July 7, 2015 in Abbotsford, BC. She was born January 22, 1934 in Hungary. She was predeceased by her parents John and Eva Mutz and siblings George (Marie), Elizabeth and Eva and survived by siblings Henry (Penny), Andy (Rose) and Mary. Rose married her loving husband Abe on July 25, 1954 in Abbotsford and have two sons: Rob (Judy) and Rudy (Marg). She will be greatly missed by everyone including her grandchildren Shannon (Dave), James (Rebecca), Lindsay (Mark), Michelle (Jamie), 6 great-grandchildren, and nieces and nephews. Rose was very loving, caring, and always worrying about others. She loved cooking, baking, crafts, jewelry, antiques, bingo, Scratch N Wins, and selling at the local flea market. A special thanks to the staff at Sherwood Manor for their care and support over the past two years. A Celebration of Life will be held at The Fraternal Order of Eagles Hall 33868 Essendene Avenue in Abbotsford between 3:00 and 6:00 pm on Saturday, July 18, 2015.

Jac went to his heavenly reward on July 9th, 2015. Jac was born in Greehfarm, SK. In 1926 his family moved to Rhineland, SK where he met Sarah Friesen and they married in 1932. In 1938 they moved to Abbotsford after suffering through years of the Great Depression. Three children were born in Saskatchewan and two more were born in Abbotsford. Jac was competent at many things; carpentry, mechanics, electrical circuitry and more. He worked at the construction of the Abbotsford Airport earning enough to build a garage on Clearbrook Road. In retirement he was creative in his woodworking shop. Dad was active in his devotion to the Lord. He taught Sunday school, was an elder at West Heights Gospel Chapel where he did some preaching. He loved God’s word and loved the Lord. He was predeceased by his wife Sarah in 1992 after 60 years of marriage, all of his siblings, his son Harvey, sonin-law Elmer Redekop and two grandchildren. He is survived by son Jack, daughter Linda, son Ed (Eleanor), son Bob (Louise), 16 grandchildren, 34 great grandchildren, 24 great great grandchildren and 1 great great great grandchild as well as many nieces and nephews. We will miss him, his wisdom about many things, his love for his family and extended family. We sincerely thank the staff at the cottage for their kind care of Dad for the past 3 years and for the kind consideration shown by Dr. Pauls. A service of remembrance will be held on Friday July 17, 2015 at 1:00 pm at Sevenoaks Alliance Church, 2575 Gladwin Road, Abbotsford. Mervin Alexander McRorie, a longtime resident of Chilliwack, BC, passed peacefully at the Bradley Centre at the age of 89. Predeceased by his wife of 14 years, Maxine in 2008, he is survived by his children, grandchildren, step children, many step grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces and nephews. Born in Senlac, SK to Norman and Annie McRorie, one of seven children, the family came to Penticton, BC in 1936. After serving in the Canadian Army in Britain and Northwest Europe from 1943 - 1946, Mervin went into the trucking industry for local delivery in Vancouver and the Lower Mainland, continuing until 1984. Family and friends are invited to attend a viewing on Friday, July 17, 2015 from 12:00 pm - 1:00 pm, at Henderson’s Fraser Valley Funeral Home, 34537 Marshall Road, Abbotsford, BC. A Memorial Service will follow at 1:30 pm at the same location, with reception to follow a graveside service. With his family by his side Dan passed away after his long and courageous battle with cancer. Taken from us far too young. Predeceased by his sister Kathleen Beatty (Bob). Survived and dearly missed by his loving wife Louise, his parents Alex and Evelyn, his siblings Laurie, Alex (Diane), Joan (Doug), along with his many aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins. Daniel was a wonderful kind soul, who loved and lived life to the fullest. He was an avid outdoors man from the ocean to the mountain tops. He enjoyed boating, skiing, camping and making LARGE camp fires. Dan loved and enjoyed the company of his many dogs, his most recent ones Baxter and Daisy. Thank you to the many caregivers, nurses and his doctors at Vancouver General Hospital, Abbotsford Regional Hospital and the Cancer Clinic. In lieu of flowers donations can be made in his memory to the B.C. Wildlife Association or the Cancer Clinic. A Celebration of Life will be held on the 18th of July, 2015, 10:30 am at Peace Lutheran Church, 2029 Ware Street, Abbotsford, BC. Reception to follow at the church.
