ANDERSON Richard 1949 ~ 2015 It saddens us to announce the passing of Richard on January 2, 2015, a loving husband, father and brother. Richard passed away peacefully into the presence of his Lord after a hard fought battle with cancer. He is survived by his wife of 43 years, Patricia, sons Gerald (Sarah) and Matthew (Christina), brother Robert (Valerie) and sister Myrna. A memorial service will be held on Saturday January 10, 2015 at 1:00 pm at St. Matthew Anglican Church located at 2010 Guilford Dr., Abbotsford, BC with Father Allen Doerksen officiating. Agnes (Neska) Celic late of Abbotsford, BC passed away on January 5, 2015 at the age of 80 at Abbotsford Regional Hospital. She is survived by her loving husband, Joze; and her two loving sons, Brian and David; as well as extended family and friends. She will be missed by everyone who ever met her. KEHLER Margaret Born April 7, 1922 passed away peacefully with her children by her side at Zion Park Manor on December 28th, 2014. A Celebration of her life will be held on April 11th, 2015 @ 1:00 PM at Cascades Community Church Delair Road, Abbotsford, BC. She will always be loved and greatly missed.
Ashley Elizabeth Crouch aged 25 passed away peacefully on December 29, 2014. She is lovingly remembered by her parents Cindy and Dan; her love Jorgen and their baby girl Zoe; sisters Hayley, Brooke (Charlie); brothers Jesse and Johnathan; nephew Marco as well as many relatives and dear friends. Esther (Mary) Enns, passed away Friday. January 2, 2015 at Cheam Village, Agassiz, BC at the age of 94. Born January 19, 1920 in Burwalde, MB. Esther was the firstborn child of Peter P. and Margaretha Wiebe. She is survived by sisters Alvina of Parksville, BC and Marjorie of Winkler, MB. Esther married William Enns of Altona, MB September 3, 1944 and settled in their first home in Altona. They later moved to Kronsgart and Plum Coulee where Bill worked for Pool Elevators. In 1968 they moved to Abbotsford, BC where they built their last home together. Six children; Franceen, Carcross YK; Bill, Chilliwack, BC; Marlene,Chilliwack,BC; Kit, Leucadia,CA; Ted, Dallas, BC; Peter, Mission,BC. Grandmother to 14 and great grandmother to 31. She was a very talented seamstress, among many other creative talents. Her gift of writing notes and letters brought encouragement to many. Never afraid to make a long distance phone call, she stayed in touch with siblings, daughters, and friends. Her home was always open to those travelling through and served a simple,tasty faspa of her delicious homemade buns and plum jam. She was predeceased by husband Bill (1994) and brother Frank (2008). A quote from her book, “...I have wished so many times I could just rise out of my wheelchair and walk. Wait till I reach the Pearly Gates, I’ll run through them.” In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the Salvation Army. FISHER Robert Andrew Robert passed away peacefully at home in Chilliwack, BC on December 25, 2014. He was born on April 21, 1932 in Parry Sound, Ontario and his parents were James and Alice Fisher. Robert was the youngest of 12 children. He was predeceased by his wife Margaret and his grandson Grayson. He will be forever missed by his children; Jean (Brian), Russell, Mark (Sandra), Colin (Nicole), Fiona, Derek (Tara); grandchildren; Morgan (Jamie), Jordan, Raelene, Kimberly (Devon), Marlee, Amelia; great grandchildren Mckenzie and Serah. Robert left Ontario when he was a young man and moved to Vancouver where he met and married Sonia Reese and started his family. He did various jobs until settling into a truck driving job at Imperial Oil Ltd., where he worked for over 25 years. In 1972 Robert moved to Abbotsford and then in 1976 he got the long haul itch and bought his first truck. He spent the rest of his career on the road. In 1985 Robert married Margaret Jessop. Later in his career when the children were older Robert and Margaret would go trucking together, travelling all over the States and Canada; having many fun times stopping over in Vegas or Reno. Robert and Margaret moved to Chilliwack when he retired to be close to children and grandchildren. There will be a Celebration of Life held for Robert at Jubilee Hall, 7989 Bradner Road, Abbotsford on January 31, 2015 from 1:00 - 4:00 pm. Jean passed on to be with the Lord after several years struggle with Alzheimer’s Disease. She is lovingly remembered by her husband Peter and her two sons Bradley (Bridgit); their children Brandon and Maya; Dean and his children Jordan and Jessica. Jean was born in Prince Rupert to an Air Force family. Her family was posted to Europe for Jean’s early years and she became fluent in several languages. They returned to Vancouver for Jean’s high school years. After graduation, she married and had her two sons. Jean got her degree in nursing at University of Victoria after she became a single parent. She had a variety of careers while raising her sons. These included: RN at Cowichan Valley and Shaughnessy hospitals, private investigator, bodyguard, care giver in a group home and prison matron. In her leisure time Jean enjoyed reading her bible, cycling, walking her dog “Oreo”, cross country skiing, watching hockey and soccer. Special thanks to Valhaven Rest Home and staff, Abbotsford, for the kind and attentive care given to Jean the last two years. A memorial service will be held at Sardis Community Church, 45625 South Sumas Rd., Chilliwack, on Friday, January 9, 2015 at 2:30pm. REMPEL Barbara (Friesen) Barbara (Friesen) Rempel of Mission, BC went to be with the Lord on January 2, 2015. She was born in Speers, Saskatchewan April 30, 1929 to David and Barbara Friesen along with 2 brothers and 3 sisters. She married William (Bill) Rempel in 1947 and had 6 children. Most of her adult life was spent in Mission raising her family, serving the Lord in the church, working as a volunteer for MCC and visiting family and friends. She loved to travel to see relatives and was a great host to those who returned the visit. Barbara was predeceased by Bill in 1968. She was also predeceased by an infant son, her parents, brothers Jake and Isaac and sister Betty and many in-laws. She is survived by daughters Connie (Dan) Schubert and Debbie (Wayne) Perry and sons Rob, Phil (Elsie), and Dan (Linda), brother David Friesen, sister Sarah Bueckert, sister-in-law Mary Nickel, 16 grandchildren and spouses, 26 great grandchildren and many other cousins, nieces, nephews and friends. A Visitation will be held at Woodlawn Mission Funeral Home 7386 Horne Street, Mission on Wednesday, January 8th from 6:30 8:00 pm. Graveside Service will take place at 11:00 am on Friday, January 9th at Hatzic Cemetery 34867 Cemetery Road, Mission, followed by a Memorial Service at 1:00 pm at the Cedar Valley Mennonite Church 32840 Janzen Avenue, Mission. YAWORSKI Albine (Al) Francis Feb. 22, 1922 ~ Dec. 27, 2014
It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Al Yaworski on December 27, 2014. Al was born on the homestead near Bruno, SK on 2-22-22. He was predeceased by his loving wife, Margaret. After serving with the Edmonton Fusiliers during World War II, he went to work with the CPR. He spent his whole working career with railway construction; his last few years working for Pete Siemens. He was a member of the Royal Canadian Legion and The FO Eagles. He is survived by his children Diane (Gary) Mussel of Swift Current, Bernadette (Doug) McMullin of Balfour, Clarence of Cranbrook, Linda (Dan) O’Grady of Kitchener, and David (Tisha) of Fernie. He is also survived by his step-children Ron (Rose) Schaufert of Abbotsford, Gary (Tecia) Schaufert of Abbotsford and Dennis Schaufert of Mission. He had many grandchildren and great-grandchildren. He will be greatly missed by his cousin, Francis Shynkaruk of Saskatoon. We would like to thank his family Doctor Scaman and his doctor from the Cancer Agency Dr. Galbraith for their care.
