ScoƩ was born April 13 1963 in Westminster California and moved to BC when he was ũust 10 days old. ScoƩ grew up in Vernon and Edmonton. ScoƩ leaves to mourn: His Wife Tanis and Daughter Savannah (pets: Norco, Kona, Bella) Father Lorne (Karen) Siemens, Mother: Faye (Philip) Jones, Sister: Kathie (Vaughn) Peoples, (Nephews: Jordan, Nathan, Liam) Step Brothers: Graham (Katherine) Jones and Russell Jones. Inlaws: Fraser and Genniene Sutherland. Aunty Val, Aunty Paƫ close cousin Jeremy Siemens, several other family and Best Friend of 43 years, Bob Woodman. Plus the MANz many friends ScoƩ touched in his personal and professional life. ScoƩ was a very passionate skier and dedicated his life to racing and teaching skiers, staī, and College students about the sport and the Ski Industry. He was successful as a manager in the ski resort industry, managing and building ski resorts so others could share his dream. He was also very successful in the resort real estate world sharing his passion and dreams with buyers from all over the world. ScoƩ͛s natural athleƟc ability and compeƟƟve nature was also shared with others in many other sports including hockey, football, waterskiing, triathlons, mountain biking and virtually any type of human powered water craŌ. He even strapped on the ͨskinny skisͩ and snowboard, as anything on snow came natural to him.

ScoƩ, with friends Bob and Kim paddled year round rain, shine or snow on Okanagan Lake training for paddling compeƟƟons across BC and USA. ScoƩ and Bob were ranked the η1 40 and over team at the Catalina US Championships prior to ScoƩ͛s diagnosis and ScoƩ was one of the top paddlers in Western Canada.

ScoƩ studied Ski Area Management program at Humber College in Toronto and started his ski industry career at Poley Mountain in Sussex New Brunswick during a Ɵme of building. The ski area added night skiing, new snowmaking and a new chairliŌ during his Ɵme there. He then moved to Edmonton and became the youngest Ski Area General Manager in western Canada at the Edmonton Ski Club. In 1990- 96 ScoƩ spent six hardworking years in Terrace building Shames Mountain Ski Area from the ground up. At Ɵmes he was wriƟng pay cheƋues out of his own bank account in order to make payroll for his staī, not something many people would do. It was in Terrace where Scott met his soulmate Tanis Sutherland, they connected right away as they shared an entrepreneurial spirit Įrst opening a gym in Terrace then working together on many other ventures. 1996 ScoƩ ũoined Selkirk College InstrucƟng in the Ski Resort OperaƟons and Management program. His natural teaching and leadership skills insƟlled a passion for the snow sports industry to hundreds of students over the eight years of InstrucƟng at Selkirk College.

For the past two years ScoƩ has been baƩling cancer. This indiscriminate disease took one of the healthiest and Įt people known to his family and friends. ScoƩ and Tanis researched deeply and took on the Įght to survive with everything they could muster. It was a long, and many Ɵmes, painful ũourney that is over now.

The family would like to thank all the devoted caregivers who helped Anne in her last years: The staīs at Canterbury Court, Westridge, Carrington Place and Įnally and especially, Noric House. Thank you also to those who nursed her in Vernon Jubilee Hospital and the paramedics who aƩended her. Special appreciaƟon to Anita, Bonnie and Cindy for their kind and steadfast aƩenƟon to Anne. Thank you to Dr. Spiller and Įnally, Dr. Lepage who was Mom’s champion and always had her best interests in his heart.

Our Beloved mother and grandmother passed away in Noric House on Monday, December 8, 2014. Anne was 97 years of age and unƟl Ƌuite recently was acƟvely interested in life. She was predeceased by her enƟre family of origin and her adored and devoted husband Gilbert in 1976. Anne is survived by her loving children; Elaine (John) Barling of Vernon, BC, Allan (Janice) Fozard of Whitehorse, Yukon and grandchildren Alan (Michaeline) Kiraly, Ardeth (Hollis) Erikson, Andrew (Michelle) Kiraly, Christopher, Andrea and Sally Fozard and Danica Jeīery. She will be greatly missed by her great-grandchildren, Oskar, Lene, Anders, Evy and Janssen Erikson and Ukiah and Miles Kiraly. Anne will be remembered with love and aīecƟon for her caring support and generosity to others and her passionate love and dedicaƟon to her family.
