On Saturday, Aug. 9, the GFSS 1964 graduating class, and former classmates, gathered for a weekend of socializing and renewing old friendships. Sixty-three people (including spouses) from Ottawa, Alberta and parts of B.C. were in attendance and enjoyed a “Meet and Greet” on Friday night, tours of the Grand Forks Secondary School and Boundary Museum on Saturday afternoon, followed by an evening dinner, with light-hearted reminiscing and music. The weekend was concluded with an outdoor Sunday morning brunch, hosted by a local classmate. This group has previously gathered for their 10th reunion in 1974, their 30th in 1994, and is looking forward to a 60th in another 10 years!
