Start Time: 9am *denotes BC Heritage Qualifying class 5 second penalty is added to the time for knocking an obstacle (barrel, pole, etc) over. No time is assessed to breaking the prescribed pattern, or crossing the start/ finish line before the pattern is complete. Reruns only will be given in the event that the timer malfunctions. 13. Costume Class – Time to be announced WILL NOT BE FIRST CLASS – either after lunch or end of day 14. Barrel Race – Competitors ride around three barrels in a clover leaf pattern, making a left hand turn followed by 2 right, or a right hand turn and two left in the prescribed pattern. Speed Barrels – Riders will weave through 3 barrels set in a straight line starting on the left or right side, make a turn around the end barrel and weave back through. Pattern will be posted. a. Pole Bending Race – 6 poles are set in a straight line, riders go to the far end pole, weave through the poles, make a tight turn at the last pole and weave back through the poles making a tight turn at the end pole again and riding back to the finish line, riders may start on the right or left side.
