It is with great sadness we announce the sudden passing of Joe Giella on December 22, 2013, at his home in Wyndell, BC.

Annie Eileen Jesson March 13, 1922 ~ January 1, 2014 Annie Eileen Jesson passed away on January 1, 2014 at 91 years of age. Eileen was born on March 13, 1922 in Calgary, AB. She was educated in Wynndel, BC. Eileen was a member of the Ladies Auxiliary Legion Branch 29. She enjoyed gardening, walking and trips to the USA with close friend Anna. Eileen was predeceased by the love of her life Victor Jesson and beloved daughter Jessie. Eileen is survived by daughters Dorothy (Roy) Peterson and Barbara (Denis) Gilbert; son Richard (Sylvia) Musser; son-in-law John; grandchildren Michael, Dan, Todd, Phillip, Kimberly, Debbie, Shelly, Ben, Melissa and Dorinda; great-grandchildren Allison, Amy, Ian, Olivia, Amanda and Matt. A Celebration of Life gathering will be held at a later date. No Funeral Service at Eileen’s request.

Obituaries
Guisseppe Giella was born May 21, 1929, to Guiseppe and Lucia in a small town called Petruro, in Italy. He was the oldest of four children. His parents worked very hard and Joe took on the task of cooking, cleaning and looking after his siblings at an early age. His father passed away when Joe was fourteen, and more responsiblity was put on him. He took a job cutting trees by hand, and at 25 had the opportunity to come to Canada and work on the CPR. In 1954, he moved to Calgary and got a job in a gravel pit. Joe and Gisela got married on July 5, 1955. They had Àve children. In 196 they decided to move to Erickson, BC, where they ran a small farm with lots of animals, huge gardens, and many fruit trees. Joe worked at Huscroft Sawmill, where he was well-liked and respected. Joe and Gisela loved gardening, camping, hiking and biking. They moved to Wynndel where they still reside, and Joe could grow his grapes. He was a happy man who very much enjoyed visits with his grandchildren and great-grandchildren; he was always laughing, smiling and joking. Joe was predeceased by his parents Guiseppe and Lucia; sister Amelia; children Silvio and Marni; and daughter-in-law Jan. He is survived by his loving wife Gisela; brother Perry; sister Antonia; children Lori (Daril), Perry and Heidi; grandchildren Nathan (Greta), Rosalee, Marnie (Iain), Joey, Jeremy, Erich, Jason and Robin; and greatgrandchildren Bryden, Dominic, Maria and Lachlan.

Allan Wayne Miller Allan Wayne Miller passed away January 2, 2014 at the age of 65 after a motor vehicle accident. Al was born in Creston, BC and completed all of his education here, graduating from PCSS. He was employed at Creston Builders and for many years at Columbia Brewery. He moved to McBride, BC and then to Prince George where he got his real estate license. He moved back to McBride and was living there when he passed. He was predeceased by his parents Bob and Mary. He is survived by his wife Marj and brothers Dennis (Pat) and Don. A Celebration of Life will be held in McBride on January 15, 2014. Big Al will be missed by family and friends.

May 26, 1962 ~ December 19, 2013 Mark Richard (Sparky) Sanders passed away on December 19, 2013 with his wife and children by his side. Mark was born May 26, 1962 to John and Georgianne Sanders in Penticton, BC. Mark was raised in Keremeos, BC, spending most of his adult life in Kelowna, BC. He was the superintendent for R & L Excavating, and with over thirty years of experience in the heavy construction industry, he was awarded his Gold Seal CertiÀcation for excellence in Construction Management. Sparky loved the outdoors; Àshing, hunting and music were his greatest passions. He is survived by his wife Irene (nee Meekes); son Jesse; daughter Jaime; parents John and Georgianne Sanders; brothers George, Stephen and Robert; and sister Liza Needham (nee Sanders). Mark will be dearly remembered by his large family and many friends. To honour Sparky's great love of the outdoors, a Celebration of Life will be held in the spring of 2014, public notiÀcation to follow. ,n lieu of à owers, donations can be made to the BC Wildlife Federation, 101 – 9706 188th Street, Surrey, BC 94N M2, or a charity of your choice.
