Butter Tarts
21 Almond Roca
Crust: • 2 cups flour • ½ cup brown or white sugar • Dash of Vanilla • 1 cup butter or margarine • 1 egg • Pinch of salt

Mix by hand until sticky. Roll in small balls and flatten with finger into greased muffin tins. Filling: • 1 egg • 2/3 cups butter (or margarine) • 1 cup brown sugar • Pinch of salt • 1 tsp Vanilla Mix together over med heat until melted. Add whatever you like in your butter tarts I put about 1 cup of each: Coconut, Raisins, Walnuts & Almonds
1 cup butter 1 cup white sugar 1 tbsp corn syrup 3 tbsp water 2 cup white or dark chocolate wafers
Melt first 4 ingredients over medium heat, then bring to a boil until hard cracked (350 degrees on a candy thermometer). Layer cookie sheet with slivered almonds, pour candy mix on top, cover with white chocolate wafers (approx. 2 cups). Spread and once melted sprinkle with more almonds.
Mix and fill pastry shells. Bake at 375 degrees for 15 mins or until brown.
