FOXCROFT Ruth June 12, 1922 ~ Nov. 29, 2013

Ruth, 91 years old, passed away in Stockton on Friday the 29th of November, 2013. She will be greatly missed by her only daughter, Kari, who brought her to live near her in Stockton, Ca. from Abbotsford, Canada four years ago, after the passing of her dear husband Dave. She also leaves behind her beloved grandson Clifford, granddaughter Helen and step grandson Matt. Ruthie, as she was known to her closest friends, had a feisty personality who loved socializing and listening to all kinds of music. She led an adventurous life migrating from her home province, Alberta (in which her brother, Jackie, survives her in Banff) via the treacherous train route through the Canadian Rockies to work in the ship yards in Victoria, Vancouver Island during WWII. She later became one of the few women cab drivers in Vancouver before settling in rural Surrey. During retirement she and Dave had the opportunity to enjoy not only annual winter trips south through the western States in their RV but also several vacations to England and her heritage country of Scotland. The family will return her remains in the summer to be laid to rest next to her husband Dave, in Abbotsford.

She was a very special person, she was loved by everyone she met and will be fondly remembered and loved forever.
