Let’s keep Christmas Just Between Friends Shop Talk by Kelsey Klassen

Children’s and maternity deals Just Between Friends, which is billed as the largest children’s and maternity event in North America, will be taking over the Hellenic Community Centre from November 15 to 17. It’s a way for parents whose children have grown out of their old clothes to make a little money by selling them at the sale while picking up economical deals. It’s a franchise idea brought to Vancouver by Yendi Pang, who’d participated at an event in Washington State. It works this way: consignors use an online bar code system to price and tag their own items, which they bring to the sale. JBF sets up the venue and runs the event. Vendors earn 60 to 70 per cent of what they sell. Go to JBFSale.com for details.
