$25,000 grant to Cyrus Centre

Funds donated from Home Depot foundation Staff from the Home Depot in Abbotsford presented a $25,000 cheque to Cyrus Centre on Wednesday morning. The funds were approved through the Home Depot Canada Foundation, which provides community grants to charities for small-scale affordablehousing initiatives and neighbourhood improvement projects, and affordable housing grants to charities making repairs, refurbishments and/ or modifications to a dwelling that benefits youth in need. Cyrus Centre will use the funds to purchase a washer, dryer and dishwasher for each of its two projects in Abbotsford. The drop-in centre on Ware Street provides services for atrisk youth, including a four-bed emergency
