On July 14, 2013, at the 350th block of Tonquin Road, Tofino, B.C., Peace Officer(s) of the Tofino RCMP seized, at the time indicated, the subject property, described as: a 2006 Chevrolet Corvette, ABL: FUA379, VIN:1G1YY26E165125099 (the “Car”), on or about 22:58 Hours, AB Registration Papers for the Car, on or about 22:00 Hours, $11,550 CAD, on or about 22:00 Hours, and $500 USD, on or about 22:00 Hours. The subject property was seized because there was evidence that the subject property had been used in, or derived from, the commission of an offence (or offences) under section 5(2) (Possession for purpose of trafficking) of the Controlled Drugs and Substances Act of Canada and used in the commission of offences under section 249 (Dangerous operation of a motor vehicle) of the Criminal Code of Canada. Notice is hereby given that the subject property, CFO file Number:
2013-1699, is subject to forfeiture under Part 3.1 of the CFA and will be forfeited to the Government for disposal by the Director of Civil Forfeiture unless a notice of dispute is filed with the Director within the time period set out in this notice.
