JACOBSON January 19, 1982-August 16, 2013

Lonny Clifford Jacobson of Ponoka, Alberta was suddenly and tragically taken from us on August 16, 2013 near Rose Valley, Saskatchewan at the age of 31. Lonny was born January 19, 1982 in St. Walburg, Saskatchewan to parents Lila and Clifford and shortly after the mould was broke. Lonny spent his younger years growing up in the Okanagan Valley in Peachland, British Columbia until his later teens when his family moved to Ponoka, It was here he would graduate from high school and go on to build a life for himself. Lonny accomplished much in the time he was here. He never wasted a moment of his life and put 110% into that which he was passionate about. Lonny graduated from the Registered Psychiatric Nursing program at Grant McEwan College and became a familiar and well liked co-worker among the staff at CCMHBI. Never a person to settle into a rut, Lonny spent his winters nursing and summers harvesting out in Saskatchewan. One of Lonny’s favorite pastimes and greatest passions was aviation. He loved to fly and take to the skies and enjoyed sharing that experience with family and friends. In this last year Lonny had the enviable opportunity of turning his passion into a career becoming an agricultural pilot. Lonny was known for living life to the fullest, he had the ability to see the best in others and appreciate what made them unique. He would always have a new adventure or unique conception he enjoyed sharing that was sure to be entertaining. His dry, sarcastic humor and way of making others laugh is a defining trait he will well be remembered for. Although Lonny had many interests he loved to pursue, his greatest love was his family. He will be sadly missed and lovingly remembered by the love of his life, Charity Stacey; his children Oliva and Kash Jacobson; stepdaughters, Jade and Skye Whitford; Mother, Lila Wilson; Father, Clifford Jacobson; Sisters, Monica Popow, Melissa Jacobson, Rebeca Johnstone and Becky Jacobson as well as his brother James Futerko. Lonny will also be remembered and forever missed by numerous extended family and friends. A memorial service in celebration of Lonny’s life was held at Lincoln Hall on Sunday, August 25, 2013.
