Software developers must understand the underlying technology and also appreciate the perspective of end users (operators, technicians, etc.), to develop efficient applications. We’re looking for a person that will take pride in their work and will help us make our product the best it can be. Job Description Implement and test machine vision algorithms to classify defects in lumber with our senior image processing staff. Validate code changes using regression testing against an archive of customer data Verify sensor performance using custom calibration software and analysis tools Interact with customers to capture requirements for software upgrades Maintain and update C++ code for image processing improvements and computational geometry extensions Experience Must have 3-5 years experience with C++ and a degree in either engineering or computer science. Good mathematics and troubleshooting skills are required. Vision to see big picture and problem solving ability are also a must. Additional desired experience in: Real time systems, Subversion, Xml, Windows OS, PC troubleshooting, and basic electronics skills. This is a real-time software coding position. Your code will control our customer’s production lines so errors are expensive.
