DYCK, Anganetha (Nettie) 1921 - 2013 Anganetha (Nettie) Dyck (nee Ens), 92, left this earth to be with her Lord on April 8th, 2013. She passed away peacefully in her room at Menno Home, and had spent her final days surrounded by her loving family. Nettie was born on a farm east of Waldheim, Saskatchewan on the wintery day of February 3, 1921. Nettie began her lifelong relationship with The Lord when Evangelist Erickson came to Danzig School when she was 11 years old. In the early 1940’s when her brothers went off to war, she left the farm and moved to Waldheim to care for her mother, where she would soon meet and marry the love of her life, Ray Dyck, on June 11th, 1944. This began what would eventually turn into 68 years of marriage, raising 5 boys and 1 girl, who would later bless them with 14 grandchildren and 7 greatgrandchildren. Nettie is predeceased by her parents Gerhard & Elizabeth Ens; son Vern Dyck; her sisters Anna, Elizabeth, Maria, and Susanna Ens; her brothers Cornelius, Jacob, Gerhard, Abraham, Isaac, Henry, Peter, and Johann Ens. She is survived by her loving husband, Ray; her children Don (JoAnn), Marv (Susan), Robert, Larry (Cheryl), and Eunice (Larry); her grandchildren and greatgrandchildren. She is also survived by many extended family members and dear friends. Mom loved many things: Cooking, baking, painting, knitting, plants, her patio, music, BINGO, mending, shopping, sugar, her family, her dolls, her Bible, pictures of her family from e-mails and Facebook, her piano, coffee, tea and conversations. She loved The Lord. We would like to thank the Menno Home and ARHCC staff and physicians who cared for and loved her. In Nettie’s memory flowers or a donation to The Gideons is appreciated. A Celebration of her Life will be held on Monday, April 15th at 1:30pm in Cascade Community Church, 35190 Delair Road, Abbotsford. Online condolences to the family may be made at www.woodlawnfh-abbotsford.com
