QF Canadian Open Sand Sculpting Competition & Exhibition This world class event attracts master sculptors from around the world to create large masterpieces out of sand and water. The event includes a myriad of live entertainment and other activities throughout the monthlong summer exhibition.
Horne Lake Caves Provincial Park Discover a magical underground world with incredible crystal formations and ancient fossils. Horne Lake Caves is open for self-guided explorations and guided tours, and there is also a cave theatre to increase understanding of this amazing ecosystem.
Deep Bay Marine Field Station Visit a working research station designed with sustainability in mind. Feel the sea anemones and other marine life with your own two hands in the touch tanks. Learn about marine conservation issues and take in amazing views of Baynes Sound from the deck.
Cycling and Skateparks Explore trails, parks and cycling routes connecting communities. A stunning trail leads from Resort Drive to Top Bridge Park which hosts a mountain bike course that ranks as one of BC’s best.
