CALDWELL Christine Jane (Vodden)
A loving wife, mother, nana and sister passed away peacefully early Tuesday, February 5, after a courageous battle with cancer, at the young age of 56. Born in Penarth, Wales, Christine came to Canada at the tender age of 4 months. She loved to travel but Abbotsford was always her home. She is lovingly remembered by Lyle, her husband of 37 years; daughters, Aynsley (Matthew) and Chelsea; granddaughter, Meika; sisters, Linda (Jeff), Patricia (Rick) and Kathryn; foster brother-in-law, Ted (Denise); and many nieces, nephews and their children. She was predeceased by her parents, Bruce and Molly Vodden (both in 2010); and prior to that by Lyle’s parents, Ralph (1989) and Clarice (2002) Caldwell. Christine was very active in the community. During her career, she first worked at Eaton’s before branching out as an entrepreneur and owning her shop, Dreamweavers. She was a member of the Valley Womens’ Network and the Watercolour Society, President of the Arts Council, and a well respected Realtor for 21 years. She was elected to the City of Abbotsford Council and served from 2005 to 2008, and as the Director of the Real Estate Board from 2009 to 2011. A Celebration of Christine’s Life will be held on Monday, February 18, 2013 at 1:00 pm at The Salvation Army Cascade Community Church, 35190 Delair Road, Abbotsford. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Christine Caldwell Memorial Scholarship for the Arts Fund c/o Abbotsford Community Foundation, 204-2890 Garden Street, Abbotsford BC V2T 4W7. CARSON Lucienne Augustine Maria (Nee Bernard Juppet) June 21, 1914 ~ February 8, 2013 Lucienne was born in Bagnolet, Seine, near Paris, France. Daughter of Louis Bernard and Leontine Bevernaje. She married Donald Garth Carson while he was serving in the RCAF. She immigrated to Canada in 1955 and became a Canadian citizen in 1958. After leaving the Airforce Donald enrolled in the Presbyterian College at McGill University and was ordained in 1978. Lucienne moved to Abbotsford in 1981 when Donald accepted the call to be the Pastor at Calvin Presbyterian Church. After retirement in 1991 they enjoyed cruising, travelling in their motor home and touring in many overseas countries. They moved into a care home in Coquitlam in 2008. Lucienne was pre-deceased by her first husband, Auguste Arthur Maniller in 1980, son Pierre in 1994 and her beloved husband Donald in 2010. She is survived by her daughter-inlaw Shirley, grand-daughter, Nicole, great - grandson Matthew and her special friend Lucie. There will be a Memorial Service at Calvin Presbyterian Church, 2597 Bourquin Crescent East, Abbotsford on Thursday, February 21, 2013 at 2:00 pm. CROUCH Mary Crouch aged 78 years passed away peacefully on February 6, 2013. She will be sadly missed by her husband Charles “Larry�Crouch of 55 years; son Vern Crouch; daughters Donalda Crouch and Teresa (Albert) Klimmer; granddaughter Jennifer Klimmer and brother Mike Donatelli as well as many nieces, nephews, relatives and friends. She is predeceased by her parents Franco and Angela Donatelli; brothers Dom and Joe Donatelli. BOLTON Anna Mrs. Anna Florence Bolton passed away in Kamloops, BC on February 4, 2013 at the age of 90 years. She is sadly missed by her husband Neil; her children Robert, Gail and Lynne; her grandchildren Rodney Frederiksen, Michael Forrester, Lisa Hahn, Karen Watson, Christine Ponuick and Denise McConnell. Also left to cherish her memory is her sister Marjorie Keeper and brother Edwin Neilly. She was predeceased by her former husbands Andy Fransenbergen and Chuck Desjardins and her brother Walter Neilly. A Celebration of her life will be held on Thursday, February 21, 2013 at 1:00 p.m. in the Henderson’s Funeral Chapel, 34537 Marshall Road, Abbotsford. Her cremated remains will be laid to rest with her husband Chuck in the Hazelwood Cemetery. MALKIN, Kelly Brenda, age 66 of Abbotsford, BC., passed away peacefully in the morning, on Monday, February 4th, 2013. Born to Laura and Harold Grier in Vancouver on July 4th 1946. Predeceased by her late husband Harold Wyatt Malkin, Kelly is lovingly remembered by her Sons Patrick (Janell) Malkin, Matthew Malkin; and by her Grandchildren Wyatt, Brooklyn and Chase; and by her stepsister Debbie. Kelly’s distinct writing abilities, and mastery of the English language, and her love for food, will be missed by all who knew her. A Memorial service will be held in her honour, at Woodlawn Funeral Home, in Clearbrook BC., on Friday February 15th, 2013, at 1 o’clock in the afternoon.

Robert Oscar Kummel aged 78 years passed away peacefully with his loving family by his side on February 1, 2013. He is survived by and sadly missed by his brother Bill (Lynne), son Robert (Vivian), daughters Colleen (Cameron) and Shannon. Grandchildren Sarah, Santana, Peter and Cody. Great grandchildren Lily, Bella, Amalia and Marshall as well as many nieces, nephews, relatives and friends. He is predeceased by his parents George & Rosie Kummel and brother George Kummel. Cheryl Anne Robertson (nee Crandell) passed away suddenly on Sunday, February 10, 2013. She was born on March 23, 1965 in Penticton BC. She was united in marriage to Doug Robertson on August 9, 2008. Predeceased by her father Jay Crandell. Cheryl is survived by her loving husband Doug; children, Michelle, Clayton, Christina and Jordan; stepchildren, Shannon (Chad) and Michelle (Roger); mother Laura; siblings Michael, David, Jim, Vickie, Peter and Jay; grandchildren Claire and Jayden; and many nieces, and nephews.
