Reading memoirs the Wright way Greg Nesteroff Advertiser Reporter
Former New Denver mayor Gary Wright read from his new memoir at the Vallican Whole on Saturday before a crowd of about 50. Unrepentent: The Story of an Era traces Wright’s life from being on the FBI’s wanted list in the U.S. to Queen’s Jubilee Medal recipient in Canada. It also includes a chapter by former MLA and fellow American emigre Corky Evans. Further signings and readings are scheduled for Sunday, November 25 at 1 p.m. at the Slocan library About 150 people took in the Remembrance Day and Saturday, December 1 at the Nakusp ceremony at Castlegar’s Kinsmen Park on Sunday.
