Vernon band MACE rocks the Elks Hall on Saturday for their third annual Summer Sizzler community dance. Dancing happens from 8:30 p.m. to 12:30 a.m., with bar service from the friendly staff at the Elks, snacks, door prizes and a ton of fun! As always, tickets are only $12 in advance and available at The Bean Scene, $15 at the door. Proceeds from the 50/50 draw will go towards the Hope for Hayley campaign to help Vernon resident Hayley McDougall with a non B.C. Medical funded surgery to reduce her severe unremitting head pain. Lead singer Jackson Mace taught McDougall his first year teaching at Okanagan Landing Elementary School and says “she was and is a remarkable young lady.”
