BRIGGS Ronald Matthew Aug 28, 1930 ~ June 29, 2012 .

With deep sadness our family announces the passing of our much loved husband, father, grandfather, and great grandfather. He is survived by his wife of 58 years Madelene, and their three children, Pam (Roy), Mark (Brenda) and Rhonda. Granddaughters Deanna (Landon) Tara, Olivia and great grandchildren Tennyson and Grayson. “BUNNY” DAVIDSON David Malcolm Davidson passed away peacefully at Christine Morrison Hospice on July 7, 2012 at the age of 74. He was born in Victoria on April 16, 1938. Bunny worked at the Abbotsford Co-op for 35 years and had his own plumbing business “The Drip Stopper” for 12 years. He is lovingly remembered by his wife of 35 years, Shirley; 2 daughters Bev and Brenda; 1 grandson; 1 granddaughter; 4 great granddaughters and 1 sister Ann. Bunny will be missed by his other family members as well as many friends. He was an avid golfer and a member of Ledgeview Golf Club, enjoying bridge and horseshoes as well. A Remembrance Tea will be held Tuesday, July 17 at 1:00 p.m. at Carriage Lane Community Hall, 32691 Garibaldi Dr., Abbotsford. In lieu of flowers, donations in his memory may be made to Christine Morrison Hospice, 7324 Hurd St., Mission V2V 3H5. Dr. Everhardus Jan (John) Buirs September, 1925 - June, 2012 Dr. E. John Buirs passed away peacefully at his home on June 27, 2012 at the age of 86. As a family physician, he touched many people’s lives in the community through his selfless dedication to his work. In his leisure time, he was a lifelong learner, always keen to know more about gardening, music, art, philosophy, current events, and history. John is survived by his wife, Margaret (Rita) Buirs, his 3 sons, Michael, Brian, and Robin Buirs, 3 daughters-inlaw, Julie-Ann Harrison, Diane Buirs, and Betty Anne Buirs, 7 grandchildren, Samantha, Kathryn, Taylor, Brittany, Chelsey, Liam, and Ryan. John immigrated from Holland to Calgary in 1950 and settled in Clearbrook in 1955 where he raised his family. He was instrumental in developing the McCallum Medical Towers in 1972, one of the largest commercial buildings built in Abbotsford at the time. In 1975, he married Margaret Wiebe, and they spent 37 years together. John was a very private individual, and in keeping with his final wishes, there will be a small gathering of family and close friends for a memorial service at his home. No flowers by request. A Celebration of Life for all those who knew Dr. Buirs will be held on September 22, 2012 at a venue to be announced in the local paper. We love you John and miss you, as does your faithful companion, Kipper.

GERBRANDT Henry Born December 8, 1920 in the Ukraine, passed away July 3, 2012 in Abbotsford. He is remembered by his stepson Rudy (Sandy) Dyck, children Ferdinand (Hilda) Gerbrandt, Rudy Gerbrandt, Walter (Annie) Gerbrandt and Adina (Jake) Enns; 11 grandchildren with their spouses and 14 great grandchildren; siblings Ana Bergman (Germany), Helen Plett, David (Mary) Gerbrandt and Peter (Selma) Gerbrandt and many nieces and nephews. Henry’s funeral service will be held Friday, July 6 at 11:00 a.m. at First United Mennonite Church, 659 East 52 Avenue, Vancouver. The family would like to extend their appreciation to the staff at Tabor Home and Dr. Moodley for the excellent care they gave to Henry. WEBB (nee Hazen) Louise Ada Tupper January 7, 1918 - July 6, 2012 It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of our mother, grandmother and great-grandmother, Louise. She passed away peacefully at Abbotsford Regional Hospital at 9:38 p.m. on July 6, 2012. Born in Saskatoon, SK, she raised her family with the love of her life Newton, (predeceased in 1989) in Bradner, BC. She is survived by her 4 sons David (Violet), John (Laurie), Chuck, and Matt (Louise), 12 grandchildren Sarah, Susy, Jocelyn, Sasha, Cameron, Ross, Jenna, Steven, Emily, Laura, Elizabeth, and Katherine, and 3 great-grandchildren Addie, Charlie, and one too new to yet be named. She spent most of her working career at Matsqui Institution. We will celebrate her life at 11a.m. on Friday, July 13, 2012 at St. Dunstan’s Anglican Church, 3025 - 264th Street, Aldergrove, BC. We would like to thank all the caring staff at Sherwood Park manor for their very kind loving care of our mother during her last year.
