Passed away suddenly and unexpectedly at home on Thursday, March 22, 2012 at the age of 71. Survived by his loving wife of 37 years Marilyn, his sisters: Virginia Cadeaux of Lac La Biche, AB, Margaret Labby of Edmonton, AB; numerous nieces and nephews; his children: Donald (Crystal) Rendall of Airdrie, AB, Kimberley Rendall of West Kelowna; ďŹ ve grandchildren and three great grandchildren. Sadly predeceased by his parents, both brothers and two sisters. A Memorial Service will be held on Saturday, March 31, 2012 at 7:00 pm at SpringďŹ eld Funeral Home, 2020 SpringďŹ eld Road, Kelowna, BC. Cremation. Interment at a later date. Darline passed away peacefully on March 22, 2012 . She was born on November 2,1937 in Drumheller Alberta. Moved to Rutland in her early teens where she lived the remainder of her years. She was predeceased by her husband Jack, and daughter Marie, she is survived by sons Dave and Jack (Barb) and daughters Linda Ewart and Marylin(Garry) Hornsberger. Also survived by two sisters Verna (Leo) Wasman and Louise (Al) Jacobi. She also leaves behind 5 grandsons and 1 granddaughter and 2 great grandchildren also many nieces and nephews. PERREAULT, MARGARET (MAGGIE) With great sorrow in our hearts, yet relieved our loved one is no longer suffering. We announce that Margaret Perreault passed away on March 18, 2012 after a long and trying battle with cancer. She is survived by her husband Paul Perreault. One son, Allen Laird, his wife Janice Laird. A daughter, Colene Clarke, her husband Jamie Clarke. Four sisters, Carmel Brophy, Sheila Roach, Louise Elgersma, Nicole Dubovski, and their families. Born in New Waterford, NS, as the daughter of a Military father, Maggie lived in numerous cities and countries. She ďŹ nally settled in Kelowna, BC, where she pursued her passions of oil painting, photography and her career as a bookkeeper. A memorial service will be held in her honor on Saturday, March 31, 2012 at 1:00 pm at SpringďŹ eld Funeral Home, 2020 SpringďŹ eld Road, Kelowna. It is with great sadness that the family of Dora (Dorothy) Boolinoff announce her passing at 83 years of age. Dora was born on July 8th, 1928 and passed away on March 25th, 2012 at the Kelowna General Hospital. Dora is survived by her loving husband Mike and their two daughters and their husbands; Sharon and Richard; and Beverly and Darren. She will also be fondly remembered by her three loving grandsons; Michael, Andrew and Steven Foster; and by her one and only cherished granddaughter, Brodie Jones. Upon retirement Dora and her husband moved to Kelowna to be near her family. Dora is also survived by her sister Helen Marken of Surrey, BC and several nieces and nephews. The family would like to express their gratitude for the medical care provided by Dr. Carver, various specialists, and especially the nurses on the fourth oor East at the Kelowna General Hospital. Following Cremation a private family graveside service will be held at the Kelowna Memorial Park Cemetery with Pastor Jan Heppner ofďŹ ciating.

HUDSON, DARCIE LEE (NEE HRISCHUK) It is with great sadness that the family of Darcie Hudson announces her passing on March 21, 2012 at the age of 61 after a courageous battle with brain cancer. She is survived by her daughter, Dana Hudson of Kelowna and son, Jerrod Hudson of Vancouver; her mother Helen Hrischuk of Kelowna; sisters Louise Norman of Kelowna and Cheryl (Rick) Quinton of Coquitlam; former spouse Dean Hudson of Grindrod, B.C.; several cousins, nieces, and nephews. She was predeceased by her father, Alex Hrischuk in 1993. Darcie was born Feb. 6, 1951, enjoyed a childhood in Kelowna and moved with the family in 1965 to Lakeview Heights (West Kelowna) to a property amongst orchards. She graduated with honours from George Pringle Secondary School in Westbank, attended University of Victoria, and was a primary school teacher for two years in Parksville before returning to Kelowna to teach for 34 years. She taught at Black Mountain Elementary School and many years at Glenmore Elementary School where she retired in June 2011. Darcie was loved by all who were fortunate to know her. Her quick smile, sense of humour, wit, and loving heart was a joy to family, friends, co-workers and students. She was a dedicated and enthusiastic teacher, a loving devoted mother, sister, daughter, and aunt. She enjoyed children – people of all ages, road trips for sports events, bingo, Las Vegas, music, lively celebrations and conversation as well as quiet pursuits including movies, novels, baking, arts & crafts, sewing, needlepoint, and walks at night with her dog, Ziggy. May she meet departed ones for many more walks in heavenly starlight. We will miss her. The family wishes to thank all friends and relatives who sat by Darcie’s side during her illness. Many thanks to Darcie’s doctors, nurses and all the staff at Hospice House for helping to comfort her in these ďŹ nal months. A Celebration of Life will be held at SpringďŹ eld Funeral Home at 10:00 a.m. Saturday, March 31, 2012.

ROMEI, GIOVANNA Giovanna (Verna) Romei was born in Celano, Italy on December 4, 1936, the eldest of four children and passed away on Wednesday, March 21, 2012. She immigrated with her family to Kelowna in 1953 where she met and married the love of her life, Luigi Lorenzo Romei (deceased 2010). In June 1965, they moved their young family from Glenmore to WinďŹ eld where Giovanna became an active member of the farming, business and Catholic communities. Giovanna was known for her warmth, indelible spirit and positive attitude. Her home was always open. She was famous for her excellent cooking. When complimented, she would remark that it was made with “love.â€? She was also known for her beautiful ower gardens. Giovanna loved the adventure of travel but her heart was at home with her family. Giovanna’s greatest joy was her children: Mike (Filomena), Mario, Assunta (Mark), Lorenzo (Shawna) and Rita (Mark). She adored and was adored by her thirteen grandchildren: Lorenzo, Letizia, Loren, Mariah, Giovanna, Robert, Shameera, Saul, Jack, Isabella, Mark, Angelina and Diego. She leaves behind her sister Marisa, brother Romolo, sisters-in-law Cathy and Linda, and numerous nieces and nephews. Whether you called her Mom, Nonna, Auntie or Friend, she touched everyone she met and will be sorely missed. She has gone home to God where she will be reunited with Dad, Grandma and Grandpa, her beloved younger brother Marcello and her nephew Emilio.
