From page 16 Saturday afternoon’s game was against Cranbrook Dodge, a rough game with many penalties for the Bruins, who still managed to win. Scoring for the Bruins in this game were Palmer (two), Caytlyn Luke, Serge Chatwin, Denek Blackmore, Alex and Vinson. The whole team worked hard to assist these goal scorers. The final score 7-2 for Creston. After a one-hour rest, the team was back on the ice against Cranbrook Western Roofing. Even though the team looked tired, they pulled off a win. Scoring in this game were Walker (two), Palmer, Jordon Gigliotti, Justice Samuels-Mund, and Alex. The final score was 6-2. Sunday morning brought the Bruins to the final game of the East Kootenay League peewee C division. It was a very close, back-and-forth game with a lot of action. Goalie Cole Bright saw lots of shots and stopped them all. The first goal of the game didn’t happen until 4:15 was left in the second period, when Dalton Luce of Cranbrook Dodge snuck one past Bright. This lit a fire in the Bruins when four minutes into the third period, Walker scored unassisted from the blue line. This ended the scoring in regulation play with a 1-1 tie. The four-on-four sudden death overtime had two minutes remaining when Kenton, assisted by Alex, scored the game-winner. The team extends its appreciation to its coaches, trainer, manager and parents for an awesome season. They couldn’t have done it with out that support. •••
