WE ALL HAVE THE POWER TO CHANGE The Black Jaguar Foundation is driven to restore the balance between nature and mankind to improve the lives of each of us and of all future generations on our planet.

WHO WE ARE

THE PROJECT

The Black Jaguar Foundation is a nonprofit organization that has one very clear objective: to plant indigenous trees on a massive scale to help realize the Araguaia Biodiversity Corridor.

The Araguaia Biodiversity Corridor in Central Brazil will become the longest nature corridor on earth and one of South America’s largest reforestation projects.

Its scope is astonishing; a total length of 2,600 kilometers and a width of up to 40 kilometers situated alongside the riverbanks of the entire Araguaia river and part of the Tocantins river. From the total area of 10.4 million hectares, over 2 million hectares need to be restored, planting an estimate of 2.4 billion native trees!

The BJF team consists of a small but dedicated core team and over 140 professional volunteers from all over the world. We also receive free goods and services from various companies. But to carry out a reforestation project on the scale of the Araguaia Corridor, we need all possible financial support!

The Corridor also connects two of the worlds most vital ecosystems: the Amazon Rainforest and the Cerrado Savanna.
