Kyle Jean-Baptiste 1993-Aug. 29, 2015) Broadway newcomer Kyle Jean-Baptiste, who made his Broadway debut in the revival of Les Miserables, died after falling from a fire escape at his mother’s home. The 21-yearold made theater history when he went on as understudy in the lead role of Jean Valjean, becoming the youngest African-American actor to appear in the role.
