Grade 8
You have arrived at eighth grade. Eighth grade is the final year of middle school and the bridge to your child’s high school career.
There are lots of things happening this year. Your child will analyze both simple and complex works of literature, write narrative, informative, and argumentative texts, strengthen study skills, and connect biblical principles for citizenship with the foundations of American government. Your student will also evaluate expressions with rational and irrational numbers, solve real-world problems with linear equations, and examine models regarding the age of the earth. The Bible course for this year will closely examine notable figures and events from the Old Testament.
Each of your child’s courses teaches foundational biblical principles, provokes thorough discussions, gives careful assessments, and facilitates exciting hands-on activities. Each subject also has designated learning objectives to give you a reliable measurement of how well your student is doing.
We are grateful to be here with you as you witness critical milestones in your student’s life. We are thrilled to support you as you shape and nurture the potential God has invested in your child. Our hope is that we can give you everything you need to set your child up for lifelong success. Let’s take a look at your options for this year!
