The textiles are designed by us or in cooperation with Danish textile designers. Our products are woven in Peru, where the use of alpaca wool in textiles can be traced back to the Incas.

SOCIAL RESPONSIBILITY ... is a feature of the Elvang production. We are certain that the workers receive decent treatment. The farmers who deliver the alpaca wool to our weaving mill have organised themselves into communities that secure them a fair price for their work. Our weaving mill also educates the farmers in breeding methods. The farmers therefore gain a greater profit for their effort and the quality of the alpaca wool is secured.

Bønderne, der leverer alpakauld til væverierne, har organiseret sig i fællesskaber, som sikrer dem en fair pris for deres arbejde. Vores væveri uddanner bønderne i at forbedre opdræts- og avlsmetoder. Derved får bønderne større udbytte af deres indsats, ligesom kvaliteten af alpakaulden på sigt bevares.

CHARACTERISTICS OF THE ALPACA WOOL ... make it one of the most luxurious in the world. The softness of the fibres is remarkable and is apparent at first touch. The wool is durable and is found in an impressive variety of colors in its natural form. The absence of lanolin in the alpaca wool makes it hypoallergenic.
... gør ulden til en af de mest luksuriøse i verden. Blødheden i alpakauldens fibre er fantastisk og bemærkes ved første berøring. Ulden er slidstærk, og fra naturens side findes den i et bemærkelsesværdigt væld af farver. Fravær af lanolin i alpakauld gør den samtidig allergivenlig.

Außergewöhnlich ist auch die Vielzahl der Farben der Alpakawolle, die schon in ihrem natürlich Zustand sehr beeindruckend sind.
