Hedworth Hall aim to raise £5,000 To buy guide dog for the blind. The management team at Hedworth Hall are on a mission. The charity Guide dogs for the blind, was chosen by owner Tony Singh Tony made it is aim for 2018 to raise the £5k after losing his sight when he suffered a reaction to treatment for an eye infection. The team organised a raffle for new years eve at the venue and raised a great starting point to reach the amount. General manager Carl Mowatt took it under his wing to help out by entering the Northumberland marathon, the local runner has made it his mission to help the Hall hit the mission, and will be putting his running shoes on February 24th to run over a multi terrain course from Alnwick to Bamburgh (27.4 miles) and is well into his training clocking up over 100 km per week. Carl remembers when Tony lost his sight albeit temporary, but it wasn’t very pleasant and felt he had to get involved to help this great organisation and run the marathon. The Hedworth Hall are also looking to hold a band night in March/April 2018 and are on the lookout for local talent who would be willing to give the time to help support or even play on the evening and hopefully it wont be too long before they hit £5,000 target. The money is also being raised in memory of Andy Briggs father to Kevin a lifelong friend to both Tony and Carl, Andy lost his sight in his later years, prior to his death.
