Firefly is the vet industry's first Wireless High Precision Digital video otoscope with image and video capture capabilities. Use it as a powerful tool both to record clinical examination findings and to improve owner understanding and compliance. Firefly is easy to use with a rotating focus knob and snapshot button and utilises fully adjustable ultrabright LED lighting. It will magnify images up to 50x (150x digitally) and the included software integrates easily with computer database systems. The wireless receiver allows you to use the otoscope up to 20 feet from the receiving computer. Suitable for computer operating systems of Windows XP, 7, 8, 10, Mac OS 10.4 or higher. Supplied with a range of disposable speculae (3 each of 4, 5 and 7mm) but we recommend that you purchase the set of six aluminium XL specula, including a working channel to get the best use from your Firefly. This handy drain tube can be inserted into the distal ear to maintain drainage of aural haematomas. Twin wings help to hold it in place, but a finger-trap or simular suture can be applied for extra security. The twist-off cap will keep the drain sealed if required. This device is ideal for small haematomas if owners don't want the ear opened and a conventional pad applied.
This range of six aluminium speculae are made to better suit larger patients when using the Firefly Wireless Otoscope. Lengths are 55mm and 85mm with varying diameter. The working channel is ideal to use with flexible forceps 214376. Set is supplied in a zipped storage case.

This autoclavable and re-useable kit will revolutionise the way that you repair aural haematomas. The pre-shaped silicone ear pads are held in place by locking clips and rings which are both fast and clean to apply and avoid the untidy patchwork of stitching that you get with the traditional technique. A reusable suture button (included) can be stitched to the top of the head and used to anchor the ear securely over the head without the need for bandaging, avoiding further damage due to head shaking, and making it much easier for the owner to medicate the ear canal. The whole operation should only take you about 10 minutes. Remove the pads once the ear has healed by simply cutting the clips off with a pair of scissors. Pads are re-useable many times and can be cut to size if needed. Kit includes 2 pads, one button and enough clips and rings for at least four repairs. 4-pack refills of clips and rings and replacement buttons available. Re autoclave the pads and button and purchase a refill pack of clips and you are ready for your next case.
