About CasZyme

CasZyme is a biotech company based in Vilnius, Lithuania. CasZyme aims to develop new discoveries, innovative applications, and top-quality research in the field of CRISPR-based molecular tools. Founders

The founding team consists of Professor Virginijus Šikšnys, Chief Scientific Officer Dr Giedrius Gasiūnas, and Chief Executive Officer Dr Monika Paulė. The CasZyme founders were the first to demonstrate that CRISPR-Cas9 can be used to generate precise doublestrand breaks in DNA, thereby enabling a new era of gene editing.

Products

Caszyme offers a platform of different CRISPR-based Cas proteins. Different industries and applications require proteins with different characteristics. CasZyme identifies, characterises, and develops these proteins and offers them to company clients for applications in human therapeutics, diagnostics, agriculture, research tools, and industrial biotech. CasZyme enables its clients and partners with company R&D services to apply CRISPR Cas proteins for various commercial solutions, such as new diagnostic tools, human treatment methods, new plant species, or reagents for science labs.

Partnerships

CasZyme clients come from the US, Asia, and Europe. The company is collaborating with different clients, from corporations to fast growing start ups, SMEs, academia, hospitals, etc. CasZyme has a long-term collaboration with agriculture company Corteva Agrisciences and research tools company New England Biolabs, as well as companies from the fields of human therapeutics and diagnostics.

Facilities

CasZyme is based in Vilnius, Lithuania, where it has facilities and laboratories equipped with new infrastructure for research and development and a team of experienced employees, who are co-authors of top-level publications and patents related to CRISPR-Cas.
