Islandhopping Ship Categories Tall Ships The tall ship category is made up of seafaring vessels, which have been designed and constructed to navigate open waters under sail. The on board equipment ensures maximum safety for all participating passengers, making a confrontation with bad weather and high waves look like child’s play. In contrast to our other boat categories, functionality rules over comfort here: the cabins are kept rather small and simple and are fitted in a way that, even in bad weather, everything should stay in place. Each cabin does, however have its own simple ensuite bathroom with an all in one shower and toilet. The cooperative experiences on board, such as setting the sails, and the common interest for the outdoors lead to a special unity within our travel groups on board. The captain and his crew are all experienced seamen, who have plenty to tell and happily share their experiences with the guests on board. Welcome on board and enjoy a week full of wind filled sails and seamen’s yarns without having to forgo the adventurous cycling tours and the breathtaking scenery. More often than not we use a dinghy to board/disembark these ships – this requires guests to be surefooted and agile when entering and exiting the dinghy or climbing a pier ladder in port. This should not be underestimated. This category includes the Flying Dutchman, the Atlantis, the Elizabeth, the Mare fan Fryslan, the Leafde fan Fryslan and the Wapen fan Fryslan. Comfort Ships Included in the comfort category are some of the longest operating boats in the Islandhopping fleet. Although the cabins are relatively small at 7 - 8m², they are fitted and furnished functionally and comfortably. Most cabins offer two sleeping arrangements at ground level with some cabins offering a third sleeping arrangement. The small ensuite bathrooms are fitted with a toilet and a small washbasin including an all-in-one shower. Meal times take place in the ship’s own comfortable saloon, while the ship’s deck offers plenty of space to relax on, enabling you to enjoy the cruise to its fullest. This category includes the Tarin, Linda, Kapetan Jure as well as the Panagiota. Premium Ships Our premium ships await you with a pronounced level of comfort on board. All built between 2000 and 2009, these boats follow the growing trend of more comfort on board and more spacious cabins (9 – 12 m²). All cabins offer two sleeping arrangements at ground level with some cabins offering a third bed – this enables small groups or families to be together. The ensuite bathrooms feature a toilet, washbasin and a proper shower cabin. The ship’s deck is furnished with plenty of chairs and sun mats creating a relaxing space to enjoy the sun and sea breeze. Meals are prepared fresh in the on board galley by the ship’s own chef, who’s passion is made evident by the delicious creations which come served to you in the spacious saloon. You are welcome to enjoy a good wine or a cold beverage here at any time. Our premium fleet includes the Romantica, San Snova, Pape Prvi, Osman Kurt, Love Boat, the Bahriyelis as well as our Junks in Vietnam.

Deluxe Ships High-quality furnishings, generous and spacious design and great meals are just a few of the attributes on board our deluxe category ships. This fleet is made up of modern steel ships, whose construction and planning cater exactly to the needs of our Islandhopping tours. Spacious bathrooms with generously sized showers and large cabins (10 – 15 m²) almost make you forget that you are on board a floating vessel. The saloon and ship’s decks are expansive and allow our guests the space they need to relax in true comfort. The swimming platform at the back of the boat enables passengers to enter and exit the crystal clear water effortlessly for a refreshing swim while an on board bicycle garage provides care free storage for our fleet of modern e-bikes. Included in our deluxe fleet are the Andela Lora, the Harmonia and the Elara 1.

First Class Ships Our first class category is defined by elegance and style. Space on board is generous, enabling our guests to move freely across the ship's vast decks. The kitchen and the crew are at your disposal throughout the journey and are happy to take individual needs and wishes into consideration. If the ride has left you craving a cold, refreshing beverage you can enjoy it in the relaxing lounge area on the main deck. The first class category includes the Melody and the Princeza Diana.
