Meet Billy Harris
Billy is the perfect choice to be your real estate broker. With over 18 years experience in the Brevard market, he excels in understanding buyers’ and sellers’ needs and expertly guiding them through the transaction. He started his career with Keller Williams and quickly became one of the top producing brokers in Transylvania County with a focus on lot sales and acreage tracts for private estates, conservation easements and developments. In 2004, he was hired by McKee Properties out of Cashiers to open Straus Park Realty in Brevard, where he was broker in charge for four years. His role was not only selling developer property, but project management of the community. This involved completing the city infrastructure and commercial development of a grocery store, and a 16,000 sf commercial condominium space. In 2008 Billy joined Steve Owen and Associates and became broker-in-charge of their portfolio division, focusing on marketing luxury, unique properties, and large acreage tracts. Over the past 10 years Billy continues to be ranked as one of the top brokers in the WNC Region, and is among the top three brokers for vacant land sales. Meet Hesper Dickson
Hesper’s familiarity with the region and understanding of the housing industry give her a set of skills uniquely suited to NC real estate. Born in Brevard, she earned her bachelor’s degree in Housing and Interiors and worked in a variety of aspects of the construction industry before joining Steve Owen and Associates in 2004. In 2011, she teamed up with Billy Harris, and her tireless work ethic, comprehensive due diligence, ability to coordinate key players and attention to detail consistently result in successful closings. In 2022 she became certified as a Luxury Home Marketing Specialist. Hesper has always cherished the unique character of Western North Carolina, not only for the area’s beauty and diversity, but for the deep connections the region has to her family and her past. Joey Laughridge is a native of Western North Carolina. He has an extensive background in both golf and club management in gated communities, and he served as the general manager and vice president of real estate sales at Bear Lake Reserve, where he developed a passion for working with people and providing excellent customer service. He teamed up with Billy Harris in 2017 and enjoys understanding the needs of clients and finding a home or homesite that matches those desires. I spent eight years working summer camps in the Adirondack Mountains as a soccer coach before moving to Brevard to work at Camp High Rocks. Now I coach soccer for my daughters, and my family and I are avid outdoor enthusiasts. We enjoy mountain biking, hiking, and running in DuPont State Forest and Pisgah National Forest.
Joey Laughridge My wife, Janna, and I have lived in Brevard for the past 20 years and we can’t imagine a better place to raise our two children. We love taking our family on a hikes and spending time outdoors in beautiful Brevard. We also enjoy live music or unwinding on the golf course and basketball court.
Hesper Dickson My quality of life in Brevard NC is pretty amazing – whether it’s cooking with friends, getting out in the forest, or enjoying local music. When you’ve lived here your whole life, it’s easy to take all that for granted.
