Anti-slip peace of mind

The new anti-slip Aluminium Oxide surface coating now features as standard across the entire collection of 25 Malmo™ Freedom Stickdown designs. It means the flooring can be used in any domestic or commercial application, including those where safety is a priority such as care homes, retirement homes, hotel bathrooms and holiday lets. The technical upgrade, which comes at no extra cost, means that professional installers can recommend the floorcovering to customers and install it with confidence in any application.

The AO coating increases Malmo™ Freedom Stickdown’s slip resistance to Dry 65 / Wet 44 PTV (low risk in wet areas), while the highly durable 0.55mm wear layer further increases its sturdiness and ensures a longlasting and low maintenance floorcovering. The coating does not compromise the visual quality of the flooring and provides an additional protective layer against potential scratches, assuring a high-quality finish and a satisfied customer.

Installation flexibility

Malmo™ Freedom Stickdown LVT offers many other advantages that make it a good product to recommend for installation.

Being a fully adhered system that is glued directly to the subfloor, the flooring doesn’t expand or contract, providing a higher degree of stability and tolerance to temperature variations compared to rigid click installations and creating more freedom in its application. The flooring can be pre-installed before heavy objects such as kitchen cabinets, island units, American style fridge freezers or Agas are placed on top without risk of movement, allowing a job to flow more smoothly and quickly. As no door profiles are required, it also delivers a very streamlined aesthetic and reduces potential trip hazards.

It can also be installed in conservatories and alongside large, glazed doors and other temperature hotspots without risk of fading, lifting or warping and it’s a good choice for fitting in large open plan spaces as no expansion gaps are required around the edge of a room or fixed furniture.
