OUR IMPACT

An active member of BBBS of NYC’s Parent Advisory Council, Elizabeth has attended every meeting since the January 2021 launch, lending her voice as a parent advocate to shape programming. As a single mom, she valued the importance of having another trusted adult in her children's lives when she applied to BBBS of NYC in 2016. Since then, Elizabeth has seen the power of mentoring positively impact her children, three of whom are still matched (Little Tyler with Big Alex, Little Ziara with Big Karen, and Little Layla with Big Gabrielle). Her kids' ability to discuss school, peer pressure, and self-confidence with their Bigs has reinforced their social-emotional development and academic success.
