Q5 MATCH DYNAMICS & PRECISION With its 5-inch slide the PPQ M2 unmistakably shows that it is made for sport shooters, and it has proved itself in many competitions. In addition to the longer sight radius it offers shooters excellent balance and trigger characteristics that are unequalled by any pistol in its class. The new large-caliber WALTHER Q5 Match goes a step further: its sportier slide sets it apart from the standard PPQ M2 5". The grooves at the rear facilitate rapid but safe loading. Recesses at the front save weight and let the slide move forward more quickly.
Q5 Match The Q5 Match is supplied with three interchangeable adapter plates for red-dot sights from Trijicon, Leupold and Docter/Meopta. The neutral adapter plate holds an LPA click sight with elevation and windage adjustments, and the matching LPA front sight additionally has a fiber-optic insert (please note: these components have a different dovetail mount and do not fit the standard PPQ models). INNOVATIVE SOFTCOIL GAS TECHNOLOGY. When the trigger of the CCP is squeezed and the striker hits the cartridge, the bullet is set in motion. Once it passes the barrel’s gas port, some of the gas generated by the ignited propellant is directed through the port into a gas cylinder. The gas pressure in the cylinder acts against a piston that’s attached to the slide opposing its rearward motion, which effectively lowers felt recoil.
The benefits of SoftCoil Gas Technology extend beyond the softened recoil of the Concealed Carry Pistol. It allowed Walther engineers to specify a recoil spring with decreased tension, resulting in a slide that’s easy to manipulate and a shooter that remains focused and accurately on target.
