Notebook • Georgetown returns 26 letterwinners from last year’s team that went 23-33 and 5-22 in the BIG EAST • Among those letterwinners are five position starters from last season, including All-BIG EAST First Team outfielder Rand Ravnaas, who was selected in the 39th round of the Major League Draft by the Pittsburgh Pirates • Ravnaas posted a team-high .352 batting average last season with a team-high 18 doubles and drove in 37 runs. • Redshirt junior shortstop Mike Garza, who was named the MVP of the Cape Cop League championship series, hit .306 last season and drove in a team-high 39 runs • Redshirt senior pitcher Pablo Vinent led the team in appearances with 28 and had a team-best 1.49 earned run average. • Pitchers who combined to start 45 games return for the Hoyas, led by Will Harris (1-3, 4.12 ERA in eight starts) and Tommy Isaacs (3-3 in 12 starts, 4.17 ERA)
