âI wanted to do something to help raise awareness of the condition and tackle the stigma associated, so I reached out to Alzheimerâs Society to see if I could help. It gives me an enormous sense of pride being an Ambassador for Alzheimerâs Society and I feel like Iâm making a difference. âI have also personally enjoyed taking part in fundraising activities like Cupcake Day and Memory Walk, as there is a real sense of togetherness for a good cause. âFor anyone wanting to know how they can help, Iâd say get involved. Whatever you can give, be that your time, voice or money, youâll know youâve made a difference to the lives of people affected by dementia.â Meera Syal, actor and Alzheimerâs Society Ambassador
