Recycling benefits patients... JK RECYCLING Limited is kindly supporting James Cook’s elderly care wards with a fundraising campaign throughout the year. The local recycling company - which has branches on Marton and Linthorpe Road close to James Cook - is hoping to raise around £10,000 to enhance patient comfort. They are generously donating a percentage of their profits to help the wards to provide everyday items such as slippers and pyjamas for patients who often come into hospital with few personal items. They also want to help towards providing specialist equipment, like reclining chairs and hoists, which will help staff and patients. Got any unwanted Christmas gifts? They are always looking for donations and can provide local collection. They accept pretty much anything from clothes to furniture, books and items in the house. If you can help telephone them on 01642 820733 or 07935 868960.
